Kenneth Reitcheck was last seen on Nov. 4. Police say the 69-year-old has “diminished mental health capabilities” and is on disability. But he hasn’t tried to access his disability funds since before he was last seen.

Police also said he doesn’t have a phone, vehicle or any identification.

Reitcheck is described as 5-foot-9, weighing 175 pounds with blue eyes and gray hair. He is known to frequent the Salina area, but might have family in northwest Kansas, near Colby.

A statewide Silver Alert continues for a 69-year-old Kansas man who was been missing since late 2019.

The fear is months will turn into years in the disappearance of Kenneth ‘Kenny' Reitcheck. That fall, the Salina Police Department and Kansas Bureau of Investigation issued the alert and asked for the public's help in locating Reitcheck.

He was last seen on Nov. 4, 2019, in Salina. He stands 5'9'', weighs about 175 pounds, has blue eyes and gray hair.

Authorities say Reitcheck suffers from "diminished mental health capabilities" and is on disability, but has not tried to access the funds since he was last seen.

He's from Salina, but may have family in northwest Kansas, possibly around Colby.

Reitcheck doesn't have a phone, vehicle or any identification. Anyone with information is urged to call the Salina Police Department at (785) 826-7210.

Skull found in Salina belongs to man missing since 2019, sheriff says

SALINA, Kan. (KAKE) - A human skull found in the Salina area in 2021 belongs to a man who was reported missing five years ago.

Kenneth ‘Kenny' Reitcheck, of Salina, was 69 years old when he last seen on November 4, 2019, and he was the subject of a statewide Silver Alert.

The Saline County Sheriff's Office said two people hunting for mushrooms on April 20, 2021 found the skull and another small bone along a wooded creek on agricultural property in the southwest area of Salina.

In the summer of 2024, the sheriff's office reached out to Othram Lab to see if advanced DNA testing would assist in the identification.

The sheirff's office was notified Monday that DNA confirmed the remains were those of Reitcheck. The cause of death has not been determined.
