Later that same day, Mike Nafar’s yellow 1974 Chevrolet van was engulfed in flames near a car wash on the south side of Augusta, Kansas. Augusta is about a 30 minute drive east of Wichita. The Kansas license plate on Mike Nafar’s van had been removed from the vehicle and was never found.
