*Motions Conference Hearing (@ 10am CT) - KS – Nicholas Ecker, Jr. (17 mos.) born in 2020 (died in fire set by father, Feb. 13, 2022, Shawnee) – *Nicholas Adam Ecker, Sr. (28/now 31) “father” arrested & charged (2/14/22) & arraigned (8/10/22) with 1st degree murder & aggravated arson with bodily harm, & added (2/15/22) felony stalking charge & added (8/10/22) with firearm possession by a felon. Plead not guilty. $1M bond. Johnson County
Trial began on 9/23/24 & ended on 10/1/24 with 2 counts hung jury & possession of firearm-Guilty. Will be retried for murder.
Trial (murder) set to begin on 4/14/25.
