I was talking to a person who knew RoHo and ReHo way back years ago... I mentioned that ReHo sold Home Interiors -- this person laughed and said yeah-- she "sold" home interiors and scoped out livestock for her husband to steal. Now this person was in law enforcement back in the day and would know about these things not saying this is gospel of course but I did hear this

Well, that's interesting! I do believe there is more to come here. No matter how I look at it, I just don't believe RoHo took it upon himself to harm Patricia Kimmi.

Here's a BUMP, along with the fervent hope that friends and acquaintances of our suspect have been interviewed, and are being re-interviewed, and will be re-interviewed again, until they feel the pressure to produce what they know. Because somebody out there does know, and I hope every one of their nights is a sleepless one until they tell what they do know.

Grieving family can say goodbye*
Pat Kimmi's loved ones will finally get to celebrate her life in Saturday funeral

HORTON — Even at a funeral, Pat Kimmi never felt quite right dressed up.

The day before she was snatched from her home, she attended the funeral of one of her daughter-in-law's fathers and lamented that she always struggled to find the right thing to wear in her closet. She wished, she told her daughter, she could just wear jeans.

"I said from the very beginning when we get to have a funeral I'm wearing jeans," said daughter Rita Boller, who will finally get that chance at services today.
---
Boller remembers her mom thinking about various views and levels of heaven. "'I don't care,'" Boller remembers her mom quipping, "'if I'm even just in the outskirts of heaven, as long as I go to heaven I'm OK."
---
Perhaps the paths of Roger Hollister and Pat Kimmi had crossed by chance in the past. Roger Hollister was acquainted with Pat Kimmi's ex-husband, Eugene Kimmi, [County Attorney Jerry] Kuckelman said.

"Mr. Hollister did some woodworking, had a woodworking shop at his farm, and Mr. Kimmi ran a sawmill," he said. "I think there was a business relationship there."
---
Eugene and Pat Kimmi had a long, troubled marriage, remembers Sharon Blakley, who counted Pat Kimmi as a close friend for about 40 years.

In particular, Eugene Kimmi drank frequently and heavily — almost daily, Boller said — creating an often troubled environment at home. In March, he was charged in Brown County with a felony for driving under the influence.
---
In May, the family sought to garnish two months of unpaid alimony payments from Eugene Kimmi totaling $4,500. The payments had stopped before Pat Kimmi's remains were found. Those remains still haven't been officially identified and the family doesn't have a death certificate.

Eugene Kimmi is seeking to end the alimony payments. Boller said he wants a return of the money he paid since Pat Kimmi's disappearance. That request, made on the heels of her mom's body being found, hit her like a punch to the gut.

"It's kind of like you think you've been through the hardest part of it, and then something else knocks you down," she said.
---
[RoHo attorney James] Heathman said his client will plead not guilty to the Kimmi murder. Hollister also has denied the allegations in the case involving his wife, with his attorney calling the evidence "conflicting" in court documents. While the cases make their way through the system, Heathman said he has little he can say.

Kuckelman said he is still deciding if he will seek the death penalty and will consult the family on that decision.

I just took this part out of article about the funeral. How is the attorney going to explain the fact that Pat was discovered across the road on his brothers farm? I would ask for the death penalty then offer life in prison without parole for information on whom hired him and who helped him. :cow:

Of course Pat's there. Thinking of her and the family and friends today.

From the description of how she raised her children and how she lived the life that she endured, Pat could be no where else! I would expect her photo to appear if I looked up "Christian woman deserving of heaven."

Kimmi Kids....Because this case is not over yet, you will continue to feel deep pain, sorrow, and heartache. BAM! There will be people who make you feel like you have been punched in the stomach, and when this happens know that you have support from the Savior. There is a song that says Come with your heartache your sorrow and care. Come to the Savior today. Jesus will comfort Oh why then despair? He will not turn you a way. Come with your heartache the Savior will hear. Come and unburden your soul. Jesus has promised to dry every tear - Heart, broken hearts, He makes whole. Come with your heartache - the world cannot heal! Why should you suffer alone? only the Savior your heartache can feel - Jesus still cares for His own. Come with your heartache, O come to Him now. He will not turn you away. Jesus is waiting your burdens to share. Come with your heartache today. I just wanted to give you encouragement. Your community still loves and supports you, but most of all Jesus feels your heartaches and will give you comfort when you need it most. He also deals with the wicked.

We're so honored to have had our whole community celebrating her life with us. We got to meet her group of "horse" friends, who came from all over, there were her neighbors and friends she grew up with, even complete strangers. It was amazing.

Our choir was absolutely ANGELIC, including Beth who sang a solo that was so, so perfect for Mom - Where He Leads Me.

The churches here worked for days to have refreshments for everyone who attended.

One of the memories I spoke about that day was Mom taking me to see a drive in movie for the first time, and we saw Coal Miner's Daughter. Gene called me later that night and said, "Hey, guess what's on tv right now???" Coal Miner's Daughter. I watched it again Mom.

So many questions from the little ones that day. "Ninny's in there. She's in the casket." "Is she Mom?" "No, she's in Heaven." "NO, she's not in Heaven and she's NOT in THERE either!" So hard.

All of the grandkids took up the gifts at communion, including Ninny's special things...her crocs, a vase, a picture of her dog...

We were all decked out in white shirts, jeans, and boots.

Her casket piece was made of white and pale pink roses and greenery, arranged around one of her old bridles. She would have loved it.

Thank you to all who helped us make her celebration so special.

Rita,
Thanks for such a nice description of your Mom's service. She was so blessed to live in such a wonderful community and to have such a loving family. The news videos were so touching. Thanks for sharing one of your special memories with us -- a drive in movie -- what a special event!

We'll all be with you in thought and prayer tomorrow as RoHo begins his court appearances.

Thank you for sharing links to the memorial service. Makes my heart glad to see the church crammed full of people for Pat.

Sounds like it was a wonderful and loving service for a wonderful and loving woman. Despite your sorrow now you were truly blessed in having her as your mother.

No matter what, I've found that what comes around goes around. Surely as your mother is on the right side of angels those that caused her departure from this earth will not inhabit the same paradise. I guarantee that.

RoHo appeared today in Atchison County court w/ counsel. New court date set for July 1st, 9:00 am. Defense will say if they are ready to set a date for the prelim at that time, if I understand correctly.
