OIC. I do see some waterways though, and some wetlands nearby.Looking around I would guess dry creek.
I'm thinking it won't take too long to id them, at least I hope not! I looked at a map and there are bodies of water around there, but I'm assuming the creek would be too shallow to hide a car.
Fingers crossed. Anyone know what would bring Randy this far away from home if it was him? Did he have a girlfriend he wanted to go see and drove off into the water?
I was thinking the same thing. I looked to see if they had any updates on the remains online and I haven't seen anything since the remains were first found in Feburary.Frustrating that the remains haven’t been identified but I’d think if they were Randy’s then his car would have been found, too.
I think the same as you but how easy it is to get rid of a body just like that and forget what happened. Of course they would be arrested if it was known that they led a minor to consume alcohol and drugs... what a terrible party full of drug addicted alcoholic people sick, etc... but randy went of his own free will, although being a minor he is always influenced... his father describes him as determined and enterprising but in an environment full of drugs and alcohol, perhaps he did not want to be less and let himself go... he is It's hard to know what really happened to him.I just learned of this case and came here immediately to learn more. Based on what I’ve read so far, it seems most plausible that he took a drug, or someone slipped him a drug, that ended up killing him at the end of the night after almost everyone had left. An adult who remained at the party when he passed, drove the car and body far away with an accomplice following them. After disposing the car and body in water, both were able to return to Linwood before the parents realized he hadn’t come home. So if he was actually last seen at 2:05…they had about 3 1/2 hours to do this. So he would be no more than 1 to 1 1/2 hours away.
As someone who went to these types of parties during that time with complicit adults involved, I can picture this exact scenario. I don’t think any of the teenagers knew what happened. Adults covered up his (accidental) death to avoid getting into trouble for serving minors.
The older friend who had been with him earlier probably knew he had taken something and drove by the house out of concern to see if he had made it home.
