A citizen gave them a ride to the QuikTrip at Pawnee and Meridian, officer Charley Davidson said in a release. That citizen left, but then returned to give them a child’s black coat with a yellow stripe down each sleeve from Old Navy.

Riggs told the citizen that she was waiting for a ride to Manhattan, Kansas.

If she is mentally unable to care for the child alone, why was she allowed to walk off with the kid, hitch hike a ride and disappear. Also where is the father?

Article in Manhattan's paper today. I've seen posts from Samantha's Mom on Facebook, she sounds so worried about her Grandson.

I am confused on the status of mother and child. According to WPD they were found safe in Riley Co. The remainder of the article on channel 12 still has them listed as missing.
