Police identify human remains found in Harvey County

Police have confirmed the identity of the human remains found in Harvey County on Monday.

We received confirmation this afternoon that the remains found in eastern Harvey County this past Monday were that of Sasha Kosminski, of Newton.
The remains were discovered near East First Street and North Rock Road. Kosminski's identity was confirmed through the examination of dental records.
Kosminski had been reported missing by family in December 2020.
The cause of death will remain under investigation.
Our condolences to Sasha's family and friends as they mourn the loss of a loved one.

''The remains were that of Sasha Kosminski, of Newton. She was born on Aug. 24, 1984.

Kosminski’s identity was confirmed through the examination of dental records.

Her remains were discovered in a hedge row by a man near East First St. and North Rock Rd. this past Monday.

Kosminski had been reported missing by their family in December 2020.

The cause of death will remain under investigation.''
