Osage County requests help with 7-month-old hit-and-run case of Carbondale's TJ Kemble, offers $1,000 reward

The Osage County Sheriff’s Office is requesting the public’s assistance in solving a hit-and-run case from August, officials said Friday.

Timothy “TJ” Kemble, 19, of Carbondale, was struck and killed by a vehicle at 5:03 a.m. Aug. 24, 2014, while walking 2 miles west of Overbrook on US-56 highway.

“We are requesting any information that would lead us to locate the vehicle and the driver,” the release from Sheriff Laurie Dunn said, adding the family needs closure as to what happened.

Anyone with information may contact Osage County Crimestoppers at 1-877-OSCRIME or the Osage County Sheriff’s Office at 785-828-3121.

A reward up to $1,000 may be received from Crimestoppers for information.
