I don't know how long it took for LE to hone in on the husband and their fellow CSIer Brett Seacat as the perp so I don't know how quickly they could pick up on the places he went to, what he purchased, was it video'ed by store etc.

If I heard right a melted gas can was found on the bed. If Vashti was on the bed and lit the match or lighter and Brett woke up because of two loud noises (explosions of fire erupting? can't be gun shots because dead woman can't then lit fire) and then he claims Vashti called him on his cell phone wouldn't the gas can on the same bed as the victim have erupted into an explosion? But he claims he ran up and tried to rescue Vashti? I don't believe it.

So supposedly Vashti had affairs as far back as 2008.
With people at her work.

The marriage was deteriorating and she went to see a lawyer and filed for divorce. We're supposed to believe that the affairs were no big whoop and the subsequent divorce filing was lollipops and rainbows.

ETA even though he says that he threatened to take the kids away from her, get her fired from her job, and distribute naked (I am assuming) photos of her. What a swell guy.

Anyone else find Brett's voice a little more even toned today? Perhaps he isn't as nervous and feels the Jurors like him :floorlaugh: Or just enjoying slamming the wife he murdered. IMO.

I was bringing hubby up to speed a bit last night when HLN flashed the pic of Brett and Vashti. The one where he is sitting outside. Cup in hand and sunglasses. Vashti in front. Anyhoo hubby said "He looks like an arrogant SOB". There is something else about that photo that bothers me. I see the arrogance but that smirk......Perhaps it's just due to knowing what he did. IMO.

BS still seems pizzed that she had affairs (according to him) and then she was the one to file for divorce and he was going to have to move out of the house and pay child support.

Can anyone explain how he was so nonchalant when served the divorce papers. Went to work,stop by True Value, gassed up parent's truck at Casey's but now is talking about threatening Vashti with private photos of her and her affairs? Is he saying it took him that long to get angry about the divorce?

Anyone see the video of him attacking and subduing some old guy in court? And how about the LE video of him being interrogated and his immediate reaction.

This guy has a very, very short fuse. I believe as soon as he was served with divorce papers his rage kicked in.

Arrogant is exactly it. How about self entitled with the pouty lips? Ever see photos of the dictator, Mussollini (spelling?) same puffed up look especially in the lips. Several photos of B.S. make me think of an extremely arrogant man.

I don't really care how arrogant he was because I have known a lot of arrogant SOB's that did not kill their wives.. Or even hurt them..

But, What I see in this guy is the same thing I see in the 3 Peterson convicts, In men that have committed the murders of their wives and thought they could talk themselves right through it.

That " Hey, Don't you know who I am? " Thing...

I think that comes across when he says, If I had done this I would have done it better...

I dont believe Vashti had any affairs. And not only because the accusation is coming from BS. I am guessing here but I do think Vashti was well aware of his temper. So sad that when women finally get the confidence to break away they can end up dead. I can only imagine what went on behind closed doors. IMO.
