Then he saw the pool of blood.

BS ran to the master bedroom door, he threw it open and took a couple of steps into the bedroom.
Observed Vashti laying on her side of the bed but not toward the edge, more toward the middle.
She was flat on her back.
BS went over to her.
There were flames.
Says he had tunnel vision, physiological condition.
He was looking down her body at her face.
In his vision of her face, flames were in that vision.
Again talking about tunnel vision.
Could have been 6 inch flames.
Ran right over towards the head of the bed.
Reached over with his left hand and grabbed her right shoulder area, basically her shirt.
He thinks with his right hand, had the cell phone in it, reached under her right side at the abdomen area.
Vashti was still on her back when he reached for her.
He started to pull her up.
Immediately noticed there was no resistance.
She seemed to double over at the waist and her head was flopped back.
He yanked her up and her face would have been a foot from his face, first time he saw blood.
Blood was coming out the left corner of her mouth.
Right after seeing the blood, he saw the blood on the bed. The pool of blood.
Notice the blood on her mouth and the bed and then everything just sorta hit him. His mind caught up with him evaluating what was going on in this situation.
The evaluation...the voice in his head said "dead" and then it hit him that he just ran past fire and he thought of the boys.
The timeframe would have been no more than 8 seconds.
Observed Vashti laying on her side of the bed but not toward the edge, more toward the middle.

But I have to say the second I got to the top of the stairs, I was completely focused on that. I ran to the bedroom door.

That's when I saw V
She was laying on her side of the bed, but not over to the edge. More in the middle. She was laying flat on her back

That's hard for me to say (flames), it's what LE calls tunnel vision, you actually have narrow vision. When I came through this door, I was looking at V, I was looking at her face, but I can say there were flames between V and I - flames were in that vision. Like looking down a paper towel roll. In that vision, there was flame. If you ask me how tall the flames were, I couldn't say. But it would make them 3-3.5 tall, but if it's the bed, it could be 1 foot.
I ran right over to the head of the bed. I reached over with my left hand and I grabbed V's right shoulder area, basically her shirt, and I think, with my right hand (with cell phone in it). I reached under her right side -- her abdomen area. She wasn't on the edge of the bed.
When I ran to reach for her, she was still on her back.
I started to pull her up.
Well, I started to pull her up, and immediately, I think, the first thing I noticed was no resistance at all. She seemed to double over at the waist, and her head was flopped back. I yanked her up, and that was the first time I saw the blood.
It was coming out of the left corner of her mouth.

Blood coming out of the left corner of her mouth, then he saw the blood on the bed, and then he was, then everything sort of hit him. Evaluating what was going on in this situation. Then, he kind of laughs, and he thinks dead, ....OMG, he sounds delighted the way he's saying this!

First thought after realizing fire, and vashti is dead, I dropped vashti and let her go and spun and head to boys room .

why would you open a door that you can see flames behind? Can you say "flashover"?
why would he open her door and not run down the hall to see if his children were ok? WHY WOULD YOU NOT CHECK ON YOUR CHILDREN 1st?

Went straight to boys room, The door was closed.. He had to open it to get in..
That would be because BS closed it to keep them from hearing the noise..

The only light was from the HALL behind him.. He turned on the hall light??
One of the kids was awake and he picked him up and then grabbed the other boy who was sleeping... Out cold, and tossed him into his arm and caught him.

He buckled them into the car... One of the dogs was running beside him and looked for the other dog.. he was there too..
