I totally agree.

Most people usually don't just wake up one day and go see a lawyer and serve their spouse with divorce papers and thinking it's just a maybe thing and they can work on their marriage.

I wonder why Vashti wanted a divorce?

Seacat is making it sound like it was no big deal to be served with divorce papers. There it was in black and white....no more marriage...no more house....child support payments....visitation...etc.

Just my two cents here but I'm thinking that he threatened her with something if she proceeded to get a divorce. You know the age old, "If I can't have you nobody else will either", "I'll make sure you don't get the children" kinda thing.

Here's his story about needing a magnifying glass, and then an old projector. He needed it to make a fake social security card for his work.
