I missed the first half an hour but am watching now. Who is this man giving an impact statement now? He is really angry at Mr. Seacat.

The in closing part is very impactful.......

Mr. Seacat's lawyer is talking now and I can't understand a word he is saying....

It sounds like he is pleading for a lower sentence.

Talking about Mr. Seacat's history in law enforcement. Also touching on his teaching other police officers crime scene technics......LOL that didn't work out so well for Mr. Seacat.....

The gentleman who just finished was his BIL. Perhaps Vashti's sister was too emotional to give the statement herself. It was sweet when he was finished and went to his seat and gave her a hug.

OTOH, this def attorney wants the judge to be lenient because he was a LE officer and had never been in trouble before. forgetaboutit! .......... It can't get worse than murder!

Prosecution: why should Mr. Seacat have those additional 5 years? Because he not only shot Vashti but he also set her body on fire.......he used his police officers training to commit a crime....killed his wife and used his training to cover up the crime scene.......

Judge: Mr. Seacat please stand up.........Mr. Seacat is now going to speak...I hope his mike is better than his lawyer.......he wants to confront witnesses against me......

Taylor Forist.......Mr. Seacat admits to threatening someone's father..........and again he threatened him.........Mr. Seacat swears to God he never killed your sister (says to Taylor). Now talking about him being arrogant......says that is rediculous.....

Now he is going to keep right on speaking to make sure that we all not only think he is arrogant but he is proving it now........

Now he is pointing out to everyone that Vashti said or did not say that Mr. Seacat had threatened Vashti.........He is pointing out all the things that Vashti's family (her dad in fact) has done that Mr. Seacat considers wrong or bad.......

Mr. Seacat now talking about his brother-in-law......apparently he is bad news too.......Mr. Seacat talking about something about what Vashti's brother and what he did to Vashti when she was 22.....

Prosecutor objects and the judge explains to Mr. Seacat that he must only talk about his actions in this case.........

Jeff CameryCar (?)......his wife was Vashti's best friend.........

I don't think that this is what a defendant's statement before sentencing should be.....instead of arrogantly pointing out everyone else's faults he should be explainng his own and apologizing for his short comings........

Now Mr. Seacat is *****ing about someone and they were trying to get Vashti's insurance money.......

Now explaining why his hair was not burnt in the fire........

Mr. Seacat is going after the judge now......called him by name and just told the judge he was going to hell because of what he did during this trial...........omg......

Judge also now talking about Mr. Seacat's sentencing....alone in protected custody.......on your failure to get away with your crime.........you have the right to appeal your verdict and sentencing........a violent offender under Kansas laws.........

Prosecutor has a couple of things........something about parole running consequtive with his already sentenced parole........

Mr. Seacat has just had the book thrown at him........LOL!
