KS - Wichita Police officer shoots driver that dragged him during traffic stop

BREAKING: Wichita Police officer critically injured during traffic stop

*Aug*22,*2015*
Dispatch confirms an officer was hurt during a traffic stop just after 10 p.m. Saturday evening.
Incident started as a traffic violation. A struggle ensued and the officer was dragged by the suspect's vehicle. Officer was dragged quite a ways, but the distance is unknown at this time.
Shots were fired and the suspect was killed. The suspects car then got into an accident.

The officer remains in critical condition at a local hospital.
