Police: Wichita AMBER Alert suspect 'bludgeoned' woman, set house fire

The victim's friends and family identified her as Reyona Caldwell.

"It was determined that this female had been bludgeoned and then a fire had intentionally been set," Lt. Stephens said. "The suspect had fled the scene."

Wright was booked into the Sedgwick County Jail for first-degree murder, aggravated arson and three counts of endangering a child. He was also jailed on two counts of failure to appear. His bond was set at $501,200.

Seems like he did something to his mom and haven't spoken in awhile. Wonder what. He seems very unstable to me based on his FB posts. I know that is just one piece that he portrays in his life. Something must have made him snap.
Glad he didn't harm the babies. Sadly they will be victims now. Parent-less. Sad.

Wichita man pleads guilty in girlfriend’s killing - November

The man suspected of killing his girlfriend and setting their Wichita home on fire in June has pleaded guilty to first-degree felony murder, aggravated burglary, aggravated arson and three counts of child endangerment.

Dane Wright, 29, entered the plea last week after waiving a preliminary hearing on charges related to 36-year-old Reyona Caldwell’s death, according to Sedgwick County District Court records.

Wichita man who killed girlfriend, set house on fire is sentenced - December

Sedgwick County District Court Judge Stephen Ternes on Friday morning ordered Wright to serve a life term plus 59 months for murdering 36-year-old Reyona Caldwell on June 2, said Dan Dillon, spokesman for the Sedgwick County District Attorney’s Office. The life sentence carries parole eligibility after 25 years. He’ll serve the additional five years after he’s granted parole on the murder charge.
