Police in Bel Aire say they suspect foul play in the disapperance of an 82-year-old man missing since March.

William Howell was last seen March 5 at the Bel Aire Recreation Center.

Detectives say Howell sometimes was gone overnight to visit friends, but the length of time since he was seen leads police to suspect foul play.

Howell's family is offering a $1,000 reward.

Can $2,000 buy some leads in a months' old mystery? Police hope that's the case, in the disappearance of a Bel Aire man. Both Crime Stoppers and the man's family are putting up $1,000 for information that leads to William Howell.

William went missing 6 years ago and is not listed at NamUs, Charley Project or Doe Network, that I could find.

Human remains found in far north Wichita

The area the remains were found are only about a mile from the Rec Center. It said “fragments of skeletal remains were found,” but the article didn’t indicate any other information.
