Slightly off topic but It's hard for me to understand why it took so long for TBI to issue an alert when there's an abductor description, vehicle description in this case..yet without either of those they issued one the next day for Summer Wells - and 5 months later "no sign of abduction" in that case.

It's given him a head start and could end in tragedy for these kids. Better to issue an alert too soon than too late. They were already across the country a couple days it seems before the alert came out from Tennessee.

Right there with you Turkeytrot! Make zero since. My Mom and I were discussing this last night. Both Alerts came from TBI, so no issue of individual state policies. Seems like the whole biological father thing makes TBI go "now, now, he's with his daddy, he's ok"

Exactly! I get that states have their own guidelines but with TBI being the agency issuing both of those.. I just don't get it.

I can’t understand the lack of interest in this case? Even here at Websleuths it’s not generating that much interest IMHO.

I think most people skim the headline and probably assume it’s a straightforward custodial situation because of the shared surname. They often tend to draw less interest.

Re: money, I believe they discovered he’d sold his truck right before he left for around $15k in cash so he isn’t short on resources. Buying the cheap Subaru clearly didn’t work out as planned though.

The place they found/impounded the car from has several cameras around it so hopefully LE have something to go on from that. They’re a conspicuous trio, even just because of his height. It’ll be very difficult for him to go unnoticed even if people weren’t actively looking for him.

Edit: and yes I bet the kids are starting to hate the whole experience. From the minute they had to ditch the car with all their stuff it must have been a different sort of mood, assuming it hadn’t already become difficult before that.

Here are my thoughts:

Didn't Noah's mom alert LE that something may be going on Saturday after the call from Amber's parents about the note and her being missing (suspected to have left with Jake) and Noah's mom was told nothing could be done until after the visitation drop off time was missed on Sunday at 6:00 pm? This should have never happened LE should have reached out the Jake to make sure everything was okay. All it took was a visit. IMO

Is the hesitation for Kentucky to issue an Amber Alert for A due to the age of consent or the fact that they couldn't determine if she was an actual resident in KY? I believe that her family had moved there and due to COVID she was home schooled she really was off the radar totally, no ID, no school record, etc.

Did anyone note any kids' stuff in that car? It looked like there was barely room for the kids (of course, we can't see in the trunk). But, seems like the kids would have only had a few possessions. Where have they been sleeping, I wonder?

He'll need to pay cash for a car at a weekend car swap or via CraigsList or similar, I'd think.

For $5000 cash he could get a pretty good used car if he knows how to find the regular car sales that occur in neighborhoods all over Los Angeles.

The Orange County Sheriff's Department, CA is assisting Tennessee Bureau of Investigation in their search for 3 year old Noah, believed to be abducted by his father Jake Clare. Their last known location was San Clemente, CA. If you have seen Jake or Noah, please call Dispatch at 949-770-6011 or anonymous tips to OC Crime Stoppers at 1-855-TIP-OCCS. If you have information regarding their current location, call 9-1-1 and do not approach.

I couldn’t make it out myself but apparently you can see a box containing a camping kit available for purchase from Walmart. I believe it contains a tent, among other things.

Looks like he cut Noah's hair. And Jacob has shaved and wearing long sleeve shirts to hide his tattoos.

The pics show you just how tall he is too. He towers over A.

Oh there’s some new pics in tweets from TBI.

https://twitter.com/tbinvestigation/status/1461168968459333636?s=21

#TNAMBERAlert UPDATE: We have new pictures to share of #NoahClare with Jacob Clare, accompanied by who we believe to be AC. These were taken by a surveillance camera in San Clemente, California on November 11th.
Oh jeez. They look like they are packed for camping. I’m trying to tell from the picture where they are. I could guess that they are leaving the outlets and walking across the street toward a trail that leads to the beach. But TOTAL guess. There are some very nice houses across the street from the outlets, and then once you get more downtown it feels just like an ordinary beach town.

This is a long time ago if it was the 11th. We also had a heat wave - it was 90 that day and over 95 the next day.

I really hope they find them soon. I would be so concerned about what money he would have left to be continuing this - coupled with the fact that he has a 16 year old girl with him.

its kind of upsetting that all these headlines are about Noah and A is only mentioned later in the article or is spoken about as an 'associated person'. I'm almost more worried about A than I am Noah, since it's obvious what disgusting intentions JC has here.... If he's done anything to her there's also more reasons to 'get rid' of her if he thinks LE is catching up and he believes he can avoid extra charges on top of kidnapping...she's in a ton of danger here.

Trying to work that out - could it be here? Look at the markings on the ground. Right beside the Amtrak.

Edit; actually no, this looks more like it… and would make more sense if they were coming from the outlet place.

Here in San Diego we are starting to see reports that they may be headed our way. They could easily walk over the pedestrian bridge into Tijuana…I pray that doesn’t happen.

Noah Clare Amber Alert: Suspect Jacob Clare could be headed to San Diego, sheriff says

https://www.10news.com/news/local-n...tennessee-amber-alert-spotted-in-san-clemente
Noting - from the second link:

The TBI stated in a news release: “On November 7th, Noah’s mother reported to the Gallatin Police Department her ex-boyfriend, Jacob Clare, failed to return their three-year-old son at the conclusion of a scheduled visitation. On November 8th, the boy’s mother applied for an emergency motion to suspend parenting time, which the court granted, along with a temporary restraining order. Gallatin Police soon secured a warrant, charging Jacob Clare with one count of Custodial Interference, after which the TBI issued a Tennessee Endangered Child Alert for Noah Clare. On November 16th, following ongoing investigative work and the addition of a charge of Especially Aggravated Kidnapping, the TBI issued a Tennessee AMBER Alert for Noah Clare. An AMBER Alert for Noah also remains active in Arizona, along with an Endangered Missing Advisory issued in California.”

According to TBI officials, investigators learned Jacob Clare bought a Subaru Legacy “on or around October 30th” on Facebook Marketplace. The vehicle was detected by license plate readers on Highway 95 in Arizona on Nov. 7.

[...]

The Subaru was located in San Clemente on Nov. 13, and three days later, “law enforcement secured and processed any evidence that might prove helpful in generating additional investigative leads,” the TBI said.
