I wonder if it was Ruth or Almedia who was hospitalized in 1971... maybe Almedia was long gone from KY?

ETA: Ruth died in 1976 (five years after divorcing Melcher)

Almedia disappeared between 1963 and 1964.

i have never seen such a Family tree, extraordinary!
The 1948 death is that of her sister Lavinia, born 1918. I think death cause is Tuberculosis? Oh sorry having trouble attaching file.

I'm confused. Is this again another Almedia Flood, because by then "our" Almedia was already married with James B. Floyd: Marriage Date: 11 Oct 1941 or did they have marriage problems and she stayed with family (George might be her grandfather?) for a while. Or was 'JB' living there too? I couldn't find that. It feels like she was on her own without money it seems, that's why she had to work?

I think that is a different Almedia Flood. My mother was born in 1943 and after her marriage to my grandfather JB, they lived together. Their issues didn’t occur until later in their marriage. Her parents were Samuel Flood and Hallie F. Jarrett (Flood). Her grands were Joseph Lee Flood Jr. and Katherine Stafford Flood. No uncles or great uncles named George either so I believe this is a different Flood Family.

No uncles or great uncles named George either so I believe this is a different Flood Family.

I don't know if there is a connection, but there is an unidentified woman who was found deceased on 27 January 1965 in rural Charles County, Maryland.

She was estimated to be between 40 and 50 years of age, and was described as being of small build and brown hair. She had been dead about 3 weeks when found.

There is a thread about her in Websleuths "Unidentified" section which is titled "Mount Victoria Jane Doe".
