KY KY - Andrea Knabel, 36, mother of two, Audubon Park, Louisville, 13 Aug 2019 #2

Her phone was last active at the same location as EB and Sk until 6:30 am. Dead silence on her phone and no signs of life since then.

Where is Andrea?? She didn’t vanish .

Now, 17 months since she first disappeared, her family remains determined to keep her name known, back out on Louisville streets to remind the community she is still missing.

"We sought to pray for her, to create hope, to pray for the many many other families in crisis we've come across over the last nearly year and a half," Andrea's father, Mike, said.

"I know that Andrea would be out there helping anyone who is missing so I wanted to make sure I do my best for her and help to find out what happened and bring her back safely," Andrea's sister Erin, said.

"We're still looking. We thought it was a credible sighting. The private investigators are looking," he said.

Knabel's family previously told WHAS11's UNSOLVED team, they don't believe Andrea voluntarily walked away, but at this point they don't know if she's still alive. They're holding out hope that she is. If Andrea is still alive, her family hopes she hears their message and pleas for her to return home.

"We don't care where you've been, what you've done, what kind of trouble you're in or not, it doesn't matter to us. You're my daughter, we love you, we would welcome you home with a celebration," Mike said.

Thank you @Rachelj1 Your posts are the spark this case that keeps this case alive. Your inquisitive nature and care of Andrea bring attention to this thread. The circumstances don’t make sense. Her previous online personality and care of the missing gives this case a creepy vibe. I think of Andrea often too as you and others do. I don’t know where she is. I wish we knew.

It’s heartbreaking, so it’s still only Erin and her dad. Poor Erin, poor Mike… Why isn’t Sara helping look for her?? That is what everybody myself included would like to know?

She did not just walk away, she had never done it before and she wouldn’t do it now.

What does your gut tell you? Do you mind sharing your opinion of where Andrea might be? Who could possibly have taken her or met up with her? An unknown to her? A crazed fanatic? Someone who was opposed to her activities?

I think she was killed that morning before 6:30 am at the moms home by someone. I think her other sister, and her longtime boyfriend EB know more than what they say.
I think it was someone she knew WELL.

Wouldn't the most logical explanation according to her phone data be that something happened at the moms? The detective confirmed publicly she made it back there.

Remains from search being examined in case of Louisville mom missing since 2019 (wave3.com)
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office is looking at remains found in southwest Jefferson County.

Searchers in the disappearance of Andrea Knabel got information about an area of Tom Wallace Park in the Jefferson Memorial Forest, though it’s not clear what they’ve learned.

[...]

About 30 people scoured part of the Jefferson Memorial Forest this week, and Knabel’s father Mike said they got a tip that people of interest, who have been mentioned in connection with her disappearance, were spotted in that area.

Without giving up too much about his daughter’s case, Mike Knabel said after seeing what appeared to be deer bones, others were taken by LMPD for examination. Knabel took some photos.

“I submitted them to two doctors that I happen to know,” he said. “And they could not rule out that a portion of them as being human remains. They are with the coroner right now.”

[...]

Knabel said a private investigator from New York has just joined the investigation, and will put a fresh set of eyes on the case. He also said LMPD has pledged to ramp up its investigation. An LMPD spokesman said the department can’t reveal any details, adding only that the case is open and active.

I can't imagine the pain of the family. Just think living every day with this, where every time someone finds some bones you wonder if it's her. In some ways hoping it's not, but also just hoping to finally knowing what happened if that makes sense.

This article is so interesting because Mike says that some people of interest were seen over in this park? I’m wondering who those people are.... i’ve never heard him say anything negative publicly about EB or SK, so this leads me to believe that he’s definitely not talking about them.

Also I’m very glad that LE is finally stepping up and taking this seriously, because for months they thought that she just took off because of all the social media rumors in the obsession with MIA

Chapter Two | New Set of Eyes
Joe Fanciulli, a retired homicide detective with a law enforcement career spanning 50 years, found Knabel's case through a Facebook group for missing people. He got involved in the family's search in January.

[snip]

In the days after Knabel first disappeared, investigators used her computer to create a "Google timeline," tracking her final movements before her cell phone went dark. That's where Fancuilli started.

"When I looked at them they weren't quite complete," Fancuilli said.

Following Knabel's trail, physically walking the route himself, Fancuilli discovered a discrepancy. Investigators originally reported that Knabel was at her mother's home until around 6:30 a.m. Fancuilli said that timeline is not correct.

"What I found in doing some backchecking was that the phone may not have been on at the house at 6:31 a.m. because when it shut off and came on, it never update that 3:53 a.m. location," Fancuilli said. "We don't know where Andrea was from 3:53 a.m. on, but we do know that the phone was last on at 6:31 a.m."

Though it may seem like a small error, Fancuilli said the difference of three hours is huge — and now that they're poking around, more people are speaking out with new information.

"We're turning over a lot of rocks and we're poking a lot of hornets nests and it's starting to bring out more information now than I think the family has had in the last year and a half, and that's a good thing," Fancuilli said.

Hmmm pretty sure the detective from Louisville confirmed she was at her mothers at 6:31. Or at least the phone was.

Didn’t the PI say her phone was at her moms at 6:31? When he posted that timeline on Facebook?
