GOLDEN ALERT
Graves County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public's assistance in searching for a missing woman.
At approximately 10:57 am on 08/25, the Graves County Sheriff’s Office was advised that Mrs. Bobye Copeland was missing. She was last seen at 7:00 am on 08/24, when she dropped her husband off at Pilgrim's Pride. When Mr. James Copeland returned home that evening, he advised that his wife was not home. After calling around to family and friends, Mr. Copeland made contact with the Kentucky State Police. Mrs. Copeland's phone was traced to the area of I-57, in Illinois.
Mr. Copeland advised that his wife has been showing possible early signs of Alzheimer's. He stated that she has family up near Chicago & she may possibly have been heading there. Family in Chicago have not heard from Mrs. Copeland yet. Mrs. Copeland sent strange text messages to a family friend on 08/24, saying that she was lost. She did not respond when the friend asked her if she was okay.
Mrs. Copeland is a 60 year old female with brown eyes and brown, shoulder length hair. She is approximately 5'8" and weighs 140lbs. She was last seen wearing a pink t-shirt with denim capri pants and flip flops. She was last seen driving a blue 2002 Dodge Caravan, with Kentucky license plate, 249ECJ.
Anyone with information on Mrs. Bobye Copeland's whereabouts are asked to call the Graves County Sheriff's Office at (270)247-4501.
