Kentucky State Police said Charles Christopher Massey was last seen on March 30, 1997, delivering Easter baskets to his children in the Madisonville area.

Massey was 29 years old then.

Police say the Massey family remains hopeful to find Chris, and now are asking the public for help.

Stu Recke of the Kentucky State Police said, "Foul play could be one of the things that might have happened. However, sometimes when a person goes missing, they might do that for a reason where they just want to get away and not be found again, or maybe there is some type of problems we are not aware of. In this situation we are not sure what the case is behind it."

Kentucky State Police urge anyone with information on Massey's disappearance to call (270) 676-3313.

Even if there was nothing out of the ordinary and it was just routine—like, "hey, how's it going?"—that could still speak to his state of mind at the time.

I know! It bugs me when, like in this case, they say someone spoke with them or that they left behind a letter. Well, that doesn’t tell us much! You’re right though, it would be somewhat helpful to know his state of mind. IMO

Chris is actually my uncle. I never got to meet him personally and I just found out that my mom is the last person to talk to him. I would have never thought to ask her about it, but I assume that the details were most likely shared with police anyways.

Chris is actually my uncle. I never got to meet him personally and I just found out that my mom is the last person to talk to him. I would have never thought to ask her about it, but I assume that the details were most likely shared with police anyways.

Did you ever get to ask your mom about what she remembers of that last conversation? Even if it just seemed like it was boring, mundane stuff, that could still show his mental or emotional state at the time.

Also, have you considered becoming a Verified Insider? After verification, anything you post about your uncle's case would not need to be supported by links to mainstream media.

I'm so sorry for your loss and that your family has gone almost 30 years without any answers. Hopefully we can all come closer to the truth soon.
