KY KY - Connie Gregory, 30, Hudson, 23 Jan 1980

I submitted a potential match to coroner Amy Dobbs last night. Did some research and thought that Connie Gregory, NamUs MP #20751 might be NamUS UP #6710. There were some differences that were tough to ignore but nothing that I found convincing as a rule out.

In terms of what they have in common: MP last seen in January 1980, UP found in May 1980 decomposed in a river. The location difference between last seen and found remains was about 162 miles (different counties, but same state in KY) and the river did run near Gregory's hometown. Height and weight, pretty much the same (2 inches off, a few pounds off). Race and sex matches and so does hair color and eye color. Age range of UP also includes Gregory's age.

Details of Disappearance


Gregory was last seen in Hudson, Kentucky on January 23, 1980. She has never been heard from again. After her disappearance, her vehicle was found in the parking lot of her workplace in Leitchfield, Kentucky.

Gregory may have been taken against her will. Few details are available in her case.

<<Circumstances of Disappearance
Gregory's parents notified law enforcement on 01/24/1980 that Gregory did not report to work (Copyset in Leitchfield, KY); however, her vehicle was found secured in the business parking lot. Co-workers noted that, given that Gregory did not report for work and that Gregory's car was backed into a space that she did not normally use, gave them concern. Subsequent contact was made with Gregory's ex-husband, who reported that his last contact with Gregory was on 01/23/1980, at approximately 5:20 pm CST. At that time, the ex-husband stated that Gregory left their children in his care and stated that she would be gone for 2 - 3 days.>>

I'm not sure why certain sources state that she was 21 when missing. Connie Faye Gregory (née Kiper) was born April 28, 1949. I think it's kind of frustrating that there is only one picture of her ( Her being a Junior at Breckinridge County High School) Maybe somebody can dig up some more.
