Those are some pretty serious allegations her brother made. Especially when you couple of with what her mom said about Crystal telling her if anything ever happens to her it would probably be because of BH. Her dad broke my heart. I hate to see people in so much pain.

I feel so badly for her family. :/

I just watched the video. The brother and uncle are heartbroken. The brother said BH was mean to the children turning off water and electricity. He hurt the daughters wrist and I am guessing that is why she is staying with grandma and BH was not allowed at their home.

So now I wonder if Crystal wanted to leave and take the 2 year old that belonged to her and BH and he would not allow it.

I asked earlier if he had any other children. I am sure he didn't want her to leave with the little one and then he would have to let him go AND pay her child support.

Lots of thoughts after listening and watching that video.

Interesting that this story is not dying but getting larger. Two nights on NG and now Greta. I think Good Morning America too.

I like others can't believe state police are not stepping in and heading this investigation. Any locals care to comment on that?

I remember the FBI coming in on one missing case I followed. Seems they have a ready alert team but that was for somebody under 18.

Just typing this I can feel this families frustration.

Just reading along this morning and I was certainly surprised to read this. I didn't realize her aunt was found close by years ago. I knew the story about the aunt but the location was what caught my eye. Wow

http://www.kystandard.com/content/community-steps-help-family-search-woman

“Crystal is a good person. Crystal would never ever, ever leave on her own,” Said Teresa Ballard, Rogers’ aunt. “Something has happened to her.”

Ballard said the family is still dealing with the loss of her sister, also named Sherry Ballard (Barnes), who disappeared from Bardstown in 1979. Three years later, her remains were found on property not far from where Rogers’ vehicle was abandoned on the parkway, Ballard said.

“It’s almost like the same thing is happening over, but a different person,” she said.

I noticed that the car was found close to an overpass or underpass. Is it possible to go to the other road by foot?

It's kind of surrounded by a rock wall on some sides of the parkway but I suppose you could get to the road of you climbed it...or just walked a little further down until it wasn't so high.

Thanks for finding that and posting that. I have a much better idea now who the accomplice may be.........you know, the accomplice that picked him up on the side of the road when the tire went flat. Blood is thicker than water. What better ally could you have that's both an insider and someone that knows how to cover up evidence in order to impede an investigation ?

If the Kentucky State Police haven't taken over this case yet, they need to, post haste. The "good old boy" network may be at play here, just like a few of the locals stated early on.

I agree. I'm not real sure why KSP takes over certain cases and not others or at least works in conjunction with the department that's handling the case. For the most part, they're highway patrol but I've definitely seen them handle missing persons before.

She was only going to see BH on July 3, at BH family farm. I'm unclear at this point if anyone lives in the 'family farm' home. So far that I've gathered, she was supposedly alone at the home with BH and baby. The family gathering was BH's family.
Thank you for bringing up these points. So if I understand it correctly, there were two visits in two days, one Crystal made it to and one she did not.

Friday, July 3, evening:
The couple (plus 1 child, or 2?) visits a family farm for a few hours.

Saturday, July 4, daytime:
BH (plus 1 child, or 2?), without CR, goes to a family get-together.

So this is what I wonder (among other things):

-Were these two family-farm visits at the same property, or different properties?
-If they are different properties, which one of them was the one searched? Or was that a 3rd property?
-Was anyone with the couple during their Friday evening visit?
-Why did they go, if not to visit others? Recreation? If they left home around 7:30 they had less than 2 hours of daylight left.
-The Walmart trip and rental house showing should be verifiable. Have they been confirmed?
-Her family has said there would be no reason for her car to be on that stretch of road heading in that direction. Is it an area BH is familiar with? Does his family own any property in that direction?

It's hard to tell if it's 3 different properties or just 2. I know he elaborately answered that one was his uncles in Loretto. He even included the age of his uncle. The interview he gave on NG was one of the most unnatural interviews I've seen. I think Friday is when they went to the uncles for some kind of get together and then Saturday was the get together he went to without her. I'm not positive if that was at his moms and that's why they searched her property or if it was a third property. I just assumed it was his moms he went to that Saturday for the 4th. His timeline is chock full of useless information so it kind of makes it confusing. For example, when they mention dinner he said something about how it wasn't anything big or new or something a long those lines because she knew they were going somewhere that evening but it took an hour and a half. It took them an hour and a half to eat and leave or it took an hour and a half to cook left overs? It's as if he says so much but really nothing at all at the end of the day. He just kind of gives everyone the run around. Jmo

Exactly!!!!! And I cannot believe that KSP have not taken over! Wayyyyyyy too much conflict of interest here.

As I understand it Crystal had five children. The second oldest girl lived with Crystal's mother. The next daughter was at her Paternal grandmothers home and was the one that when she could not reach Crystal she called Crystals mother. That's two.

The next two a girl and a boy were at their fathers home for the weekend. That would be Crystal's ex husband the father of the two.

The little two year old boy, the son of Crystal and Brooks, was the only child with them that weekend.

I hope I have all of that right.

I thought they went out to 'the farm' owned by Brooks mother Friday night and were going to another get together Saturday night.

The three of them went on Friday to the mothers farm, the one they got the search warrant for but only Brooks and the boy went on Saturday.

I don't think anybody has confirmed anything about those two nights.

We have heard from nobody on Brooks side of the family but I am sure LE has checked those stories by now.

S. BALLARD: Right at that moment, I didn`t pay real big attention. A little bit, not a lot, because the kids were -- her oldest daughter that

lived there with her was at her grandmother`s. The two, the younger two was at their dad`s, and she just had the baby there at home. It was July

4th weekend. I thought maybe she had plans and maybe didn`t get to her phone. But then when I started calling everybody and nobody had heard from

her, that was sort of unusual.

This BH guy is totally a scammer sneaky deceitful person in MHO. In the NG interview he is asked if he reported her missing when first woke up the next morning...he said "No ma'am" quick and easy. Then NG asks why (which requires more of a detailed answer), so BH uses the best stall tactic of all which allows his brain to get a 9 second head start on his answer. He answers at first with "That is a great question and one that I definitely blah blah blah for 9 seconds...." Then NG asks for BH's response to some ppl accusing him of not being involved enough in the search for CR...BH says "That is a great question and one I certainly appreciate you asking me blah blah blah for 7 seconds..." until he actually tries to answer the question. Either he has frontal lobe issues or he is hiding something and the way he answered NG's questions, it is no wonder that his lie detector test came back inconclusive. It is known that the true criminal may be so accustomed to the psychodynamics of lying and denial that he can fool the examiner more easily during a lie detector test. It has been said by CR's family that BH broke the wrist of one of her children, locked them outside, turned off the water and electricity so they had none to use. This type of behaviour is the same type of person who might kick a dog or have no empathy/sympathy for personal situations that deem this type of emotion....borderline sociopath.

Statement analysis of Houck's interview with Nancy Grace. Many of the points he brings up are right in line with the thinking of astute folks here.

TY honeybun1807. I'm still confused as to the age order though. You started with the "second oldest" child and went on from there. So who is the oldest child?

Do we have a ballpark notion of the ages of the 4 oldest of CR's children, the ones who are not related to BH? We know her youngest was 2 1/2.

Confused further by this quote by Crystal's mother (the grandmother of the children):

S. BALLARD: Right at that moment, I didn`t pay real big attention. A little bit, not a lot, because the kids were -- her oldest daughter that lived there with her was at her grandmother`s. The two, the younger two was at their dad`s, and she just had the baby there at home.

That's 4 children, not 5. Who is the 5th child and where does s/he live?

Also, from Ballard's quote it sounds like the oldest daughter who ordinarily lived with CR (not necessarily the oldest of her children, from the ambiguous wording) was visiting her grandmother at the time of CR's disappearance. Was this a regular or a rare thing? Whose idea was it? I wonder.

I agree dude sounds like a problem. But what CR's brother actually said was "he 'bout broke my little niece's wrist." Which presumably means it wasn't broken.

The likeliest explanation is that BH yanked her hard by the wrist, but evidently didn't break it. (Unless it went as a completely untreated break, there would be medical records of it. There may be records even if it was a sprain.)

BH is evidently perceived as a problem by her family, and that's potentially useful in itself. But declaring that he DID actually break a child's wrist when that was not what was said changes the facts after they come from the family's mouth, which only adds to the confusion. IMO it's best to guard against leaps like that and stay as accurate as possible.

PLG-13 has been shown a copy of the receipt Crystal Rogers reportedly received at Wal-Mart on the day she was last seen, a private investigator from Florida has arrived to help in the search, and we try to clarify rumors in the community concerning a Bardstown Police Officer who is the brother of Rogers' boyfriend, Brooks Houck.

I was struck by the amount of detail BH gave about the rental property in his interview with NG. IMHO, either he was trying to drum up business or LE should search the rental properties and check to see if a tenant could be an accomplice.

I'm so glad they're bringing in an investigator. I'm sure they've probably verified on video that she was at Walmart. I've honestly never questioned the timeline that included her and the kids going up there. My skepticism started after the get together they went to.
