I'm so glad they're bringing in an investigator. I'm sure they've probably verified on video that she was at Walmart. I've honestly never questioned the timeline that included her and the kids going up there. My skepticism started after the get together they went to.

Yes he does, and that same brother lives just down the street from Brook and Crystal. I commented about it in post #400 this morning while I was drinking my coffee. Apparently the overnight crowd did a lot of investigating and came up with a bunch of new information, especially DMacky. I noticed shortly thereafter though, that a majority of the posts had been deleted, including the one I was commenting about.

I have to assume that it was due to nothing being discussed in the media about it. Now however, not only is the media addressing it, so is the Sheriff himself as explained in this video link by a local news station. I think it may turn out to be extremely relevant.

I agree dude sounds like a problem. But what CR's brother actually said was "he 'bout broke my little niece's wrist." Which presumably means it wasn't broken.

The likeliest explanation is that BH yanked her hard by the wrist, but evidently didn't break it. (Unless it went as a completely untreated break, there would be medical records of it. There may be records even if it was a sprain.)

BH is evidently perceived as a problem by her family, and that's potentially useful in itself. But declaring that he DID actually break a child's wrist when that was not what was said changes the facts after they come from the family's mouth, which only adds to the confusion. IMO it's best to guard against leaps like that and stay as accurate as possible.

Well I will admit it was 3am when I listened to interview last night and so I missed the word "bout" so when I made my post today I am basically reiterating what the brother is IMPLYING, that BH is not nice at times and can be violent and mean in a vindictive way. OK so the wrist officially was not broken but we all know a sprain is actually worse but if the brother cannot just say BH hurt his niece's wrist really bad by grabbing her wrist, rather than say "he bout broke it" than I am sure it is ok for me to say BH broke the niece's wrist. By saying he bout broke her wrist he is trying to glorify the moment since most people do not take the words HURT REALLY BAD as serious as BROKE...we all get the idea...and whether or not the wrist was broken or sprained or just really hurt for 2 days...the brother is implying BH is not a nice guy, cause who would hurt a child on purpose?? I have heard many people say they fell and almost broke their darn leg...yes it is just a saying and how can a person really know how close they came to breaking a leg or wrist without an x-ray or a doctor's opinion? Anyway, I am just trying to say that the brother is accusing BH of abuse....it doesn't matter whether the wrist was broken or not broken...the alleged incident is still being insinuated as bad and I am sure I am ok by just flat out saying BH broke her wrist. I prefer a break over a sprain any day!

Get the FBI in there asap. Too much conflict of interest. At this point, state police might be related as well. It was heartbreaking to hear her Mom say she's not coming back and she would have to tell the kids. I cannot imagine.

PLG TV 13 is Bardstown's local television channel and the KY Standard is the local newspaper. I consider them to be mainstream media. In other cases the local tv and newspapers have been allowed. There was a link posted late last night that is not considered to be mainstream media.

Friday-Goes to Walmart with kids Takes two kids to ex house
Brings two home to bf
Shows rental
Home after 5
Ate dinner at home
7:30 headed to family farm
Return home last seen up playing on phone at 12 am with a 2 yr old running lose through home.
Saturday 4th- bf wakes up, crystal gone.
Bf said he called in morning and around lunch
Bf goes to 4th event without gf just two yr old.
5th-Sunday mom can't get in touch with crystal since Friday knows goes to the police
Dad And brother find car
PLEASe add in times if known and other info if anyone knows more. Let's get our own timeline

6:00 pm daughter sends a text with no reply
7:16pm last known contact to her phone (a call apparently)

TY honeybun1807. I'm still confused as to the age order though. You started with the "second oldest" child and went on from there. So who is the oldest child?

Do we have a ballpark notion of the ages of the 4 oldest of CR's children, the ones who are not related to BH? We know her youngest was 2 1/2.

Confused further by this quote by Crystal's mother (the grandmother of the children):

S. BALLARD: Right at that moment, I didn`t pay real big attention. A little bit, not a lot, because the kids were -- her oldest daughter that lived there with her was at her grandmother`s. The two, the younger two was at their dad`s, and she just had the baby there at home.

That's 4 children, not 5. Who is the 5th child and where does s/he live?

Also, from Ballard's quote it sounds like the oldest daughter who ordinarily lived with CR (not necessarily the oldest of her children, from the ambiguous wording) was visiting her grandmother at the time of CR's disappearance. Was this a regular or a rare thing? Whose idea was it? I wonder.

One of Crystals two older daughters lives with the Ballards. It's the one BH pulled the wrist of and hurt her because Mr. Ballard said BH is not allowed at his house and he doesn't go to BH house.

What I don't understand is...if his brother is LE..with, if I understand correctly, a different dept., and then family on CR side, why isn't an outside source involved so that when the ummm POI IS arrested, the investigation won't be labeled tainted.....I hope that follows as it's not coming out correctly.

The two you mention is with local police department. The sheriffs office is handling the investigation.

When you say local police...do you mean City Police? I'm sure I can figure it out...but I've now confused myself with the parkway this, parkway that, not anywhere close to where she lives, nor the family farm. Is that correct? Then it appears 2 or 3 other cases in relation to this same parkway? Has anyone mapped the 3 incidences? LE this, LE that, brother of...aunt of but retired...I think my mind is going somewhere it shouldn't.....

Bardstown City Police and Nelson County Sheriff's Office? What color are their vehicles? and what color are the State Troopers vehicles?
What does BH drive? Does anyone drive a Toyota/Nissan type truck, maybe mid 2000's model? Bluish in color

That's why I've been wanting KSP to get involved. The connections are waaaay too close.

I don't think they should be handling the case either, honestly. I take that back. I don't mind them handling it but I wish KSP was working in conjunction with them.
