The maternal grandparents have been awarded visitation. I have heard from the family that the grandparents only have visitation. Eli's siblings, aunt, uncle and cousins are not allowed to visit with him at this time. Hopefully soon they will all be reunited!

I don't understand why the rest of his family cannot see him :/ poor kid. Lord knows what he has been seen and been told by his father and uncle. Hopefully the grandparents visits aren't supervised. ....

I don't agree with the sheriff's logic or his tone, BUT his letter does one positive thing - it keeps Crystal Rogers in the news. Publicity. Someone once told me, "Sometimes bad publicity is better than no publicity at all."

A judge's order allowed them time with their three year-old grandson they hadn't seen in almost six months.

I wonder if it is so it is less stressful on the three year old. Not seeing his siblings for so long then suddenly seeing them again but then can't be with them all of the time. He won't understand why. Hopefully they will all be together soon permanently.

I'm not sure what he's up to..........but it's making people nervous. Sounds as if he's cashing out for some reason.

Hmmmm....maybe. Now all Houck has to do is try and figure out where they placed the transponder. If his neighbors observe him spending a lot of time lying on his back looking at the underside of his pickup, you may be on to something.

He may also be cashing out for:

1) Insuring he has plenty of bail money.

2) One of those high priced lawyers that demand a fist load of cash up front just to have a consultation period, not to mention the outrageous retainer that is soon to follow that consultation.

3) Much akin to the fires out at the family farm, he enjoys playing and toying with people simply for the fun of it. The more mental torture and cat-and-mouse games he inflicts on her family, the more he seems to relish in it.

4) Now that the grandparents have visitation rights, he's preparing for the day when Houck Jr. tells his grandparents what really happened to his Mommy that night, and who all was there. At that point, reference #1 and #2 above.

5) He wants to buy himself one of those high speed boats like he saw at the end of the movie The Hangover, Part II.

6) He plans on running for sheriff again and needs to generate some campaign funds.

I was thinking 1 and 2 also.

Although with his displayed arrogance I could see 5 or 6!

I don't see this as a matter of "being allowed to leave" as much as running off, regardless of any potential "requests" that LE may have made to "not leave town". Liquidating assets makes a wide variety of things possible.

I think that the little boy is in danger.
If he keeps asking his father what happened to Mommy - or asks his father why did he do that - any number of questions, really, that azzhole could snap on him.
