Let me look for the forum and I'll post back here.

CSIDreamer..... look under Missing But Not Forgotten, 1970s, Melanie Flynn.
My husband has known their family for years, so sad. I also went to school & grew up with some involved in the Bluegrass Conspiracy.... one “thinks” they know their friends but they don’t really. But I will say, life takes many unexpected turns for many thru life’s journey. Just sayin’.

I’m not sure if anyone has ever floated this idea.... It’s been weighing on my mind lately. Brooks construction company....it would be possible for him to conceal her body in a concrete job of a home he is building. The night he left the farm he recieved a 13 second phone call at midnight. The man that called him said he was looking for house number info. Would it be possible that that’s where her body may have been taken?

Crystal Rogers, a mother of five, was last seen on July 3, 2015, at the home the 35-year-old shared with her boyfriend Brooks Houck and the couple's young son. Two days later, her unlocked Chevy Impala was found along Kentucky's Bluegrass Parkway with a flat tire and her belongings still inside. The Nelson County Sheriff officially named Crystal’s boyfriend a suspect in her disappearance in October of 2015. Houck's brother, who worked as a Bardstown police officer, was terminated from the department after officials say he interfered with the investigation into Crystal's disappearance. Danny L. Singleton, a longtime employee of Houck, was charged with 38 counts of perjury for lying to investigators under oath in December of 2015. Houck was arrested in July of 2018 on four felony theft counts and four misdemeanor theft counts, unrelated to Crystal’s disappearance. He pleaded not guilty to all charges. On April 25, 2019, a jury found Houck not guilty on charges that he stole roofing shingles from a Nelson County Lowe's store. No charges have been filed in connection with Crystal’s disappearance, but officials have said they believe Crystal is dead. In August 2020, the FBI took over as the lead agency in the investigation. More than 150 state and federal law enforcement officers arrived in Bardstown and executed new search warrants at several properties connected to Crystal’s boyfriend. Nothing has been found and the investigation remains ongoing. The FBI's Crystal Rogers Task force website was created so people can share information regarding the case. There is a $25,000 reward for information that leads to her whereabouts. If you have any information regarding Crystal’s case, please contact the FBI tip line at 1-800-CALL-FBI or visit www.crystalrogerstaskforce.com.

Anyone? TIA! :)

Coleman said after delving into the history of Louisville, he felt led to address the subject.

"The very same neighborhoods where those red dots appear — where we are losing our sons and daughters — are those very same neighborhoods where we have limited opportunity in an overt way for over 100 years."

He also leaves office with a few regrets, including the unsolved murders of Crystal Rogers and Bardstown Police Officer Jason Ellis.

"I looked Jason Ellis' widow in the eye, and I looked one of her sons in the face," Coleman said. "'We won't stop remembering your father and we will bring you justice.'"

Rogers has been missing since July 2015.

"I have not successfully been able to tell Crystal Rogers' family where she is or what happened to her and that's a failure, and I own that," he said.

Coleman also takes responsibility for the spike in violent crime.

"When you sit in this chair, you should take the responsibility," he said. "I should be the one that's mitigating those. When I pack out and leave on the 20th, I'll carry a great deal of sadness with me that I didn't resolve those matters."

Coleman said he's confident the Louisville Metro Police Homicide Unit will solve the cases, but he hopes the community will be patient.

"We have some hard chargers in the homicide unit being led by Lt. Burbrink," said Coleman, referring to veteran LMPD Lt. Donnie Burbrink, who leads the homicide unit. "They're out there trying to work these cases, but they cannot do it in a vacuum."

Mother of missing Bardstown mom Crystal Rogers denied visitation | whas11.com
A Nelson County judge has denied Sherry Ballard, mother of missing Bardstown woman Crystal Rogers, the right to visit her grandson following a lengthy custody case.

The ruling came down on Saturday.

[...]

Court documents also stated that Houck doesn’t want his son to have contact with the Ballard family because he feels it would be “detrimental” to him.

After various hearings, the court believed that both Houck and Ballard came in with wanting to protect the child’s best interest but said they have “differing opinions as to what is in his best interest.”

Judge Hayden said the court finds that hostility between Houck and Ballard family poses a significant risk of emotional harm to the child. He believes it is reasonable for Houck to deny visits to protect the child.

Just more evidence of corruption.....

This is heartbreaking on so many levels. Little Eli has already lost his mother likely at the hands of his father. That little boy needs his grandma and siblings as much as any child if not more.
Sounds extremely crooked to me! IMO

“There is clear and convincing evidence significant hostility exists between the Ballard family and Houck such that it poses a significant risk of emotional harm to” the child, Hayden wrote in his final ruling. He also wrote that it was “reasonable for Houck to believe denying visits is necessary to protect” his son.

Ballard has made it clear through Facebook posts that she believes Houck is responsible for the disappearance and presumed death of her daughter. She posted multiple times over the weekend expressing discontent with the judge’s decision.

I have abided by every rule and have done everything they have asked me to do concerning my (grandson’s) visitation case,” Ballard wrote in a Facebook post Sunday. “I have waited for two long years for this so-called justice system to grant me visitation of my grandson.”

Ballard also said that Houck “was not mentioned” during any of her previous visits with her grandson.

Hayden wrote he was skeptical the Ballards would be able to refrain from making disparaging comments about the child’s father due to their “hostility” toward him.

In his final ruling, Hayden noted Houck is a suspect in Rogers’ disappearance but added that “no charges have been brought against him.”

Despicable and harmful to the child. Poor kid.

Praying and hoping for justice for Crystal and her family. At this point I would be happy if the only charges were something serious and federal even if not murder charges. I bet neither of the Houck boys expected the FBI to show up especially this late in the game. Federal prosecutors working with the FBI has me hopefully optimistic. It will certainly be interesting to see how the rest of this plays out and if they’ve linked either Houck or both to the other Bardstown Murders.
ETA there is no parole for federal crimes.

I just watched a very good overview of the facts surrounding Crystal’s murder on YouTube. It was on That Chapter. No new information but it was new to me.

Very strange things going on in Bardstown. Several unsolved murders and an unidentified body (not Crystal) found near where Crystal‘s car was found. I didn’t realize before now that one of the suspects in Crystal‘s case, (David’s brother Rick), worked the same shift as Jason Ellis, the police officer who was ambushed and murdered in cold blood in Bardstown two years before Crystal was murdered.

All of this information has been reported in main stream articles already linked in this thread. Police video of interrogations of David and Rick Houck are easily found from multiple sources with a name search. I don’t have all of these links so this entire post is MOO.

Dwayne Stanton was not the murdered Bardstown police officer.

ETA - I believe you meant Jason Ellis.

This looks to be a legitimate comment but you’re mistaken in several names. The Houck brothers names are Brooks and Nick. The deceased cop is Jason Ellis who indeed was previously Nick Houck’s partner in LE. Are you by chance also familiar with the Netherland murders as well? If not those would be Kathy and Samantha Netherland. Many of us believe they’re either all related or the majority of the crimes are related. Hope this helps!

Also it is an excellent point IMO that you have noticed the not yet identified remains were found near her disappearance and remain unidentified to our knowledge. Who do the remains belong to and why were they found so near where crystal’s car was found? Coincidence maybe but I don’t think so. Are there more remains there or nearby? Since the FBI was called in I believe we may some answers soon. Also IMO
