“#crystalrogers Looks like they are digging up the driveway in the search for Crystal Rogers. #bardstown”
Neighbors said Houck was doing construction in the subdivision at the time Rogers' went missing. Sitting less two miles away from the search, Ballard said she is familiar with the area as she has searched it before.
"In the very beginning when we were searching, we had a cadaver dog hit on a dirt mound," Ballard said. "We didn't find anything, but the fact that they're back searching in that area tells me maybe we had a clue, but we couldn't find what we were looking for."
The FBI just confirmed to me they will be back out at this Bardstown property, searching for a second day. On day #1 they laid tarps, brought out shovels and used a cadaver dog to find where to dig. The driveway/concrete appeared to be a point of interest. #CrystalRogers 6:52 AM · Aug 25, 2021·Twitter for iPhone
FBI agents, along with the Nelson County Sheriff's Department, started the search early Tuesday, and have been stopping cars that enter or leave the neighborhood. The FBI told WDRB News that agents focused on three homes on Howard Street.
A family member of Crystal Rogers told WDRB that the FBI was using K-9s in the search. Sonar equipment was also seen being used on the scene. Agents reportedly planned to continue searching until late Tuesday evening. It's unclear if they will return on Wednesday. Agents and sheriff's deputies were cleared around 9 p.m. Tuesday.
"The FBI did inform me that they were going to be doing something today," Ballard said. "They didn't give me details, but they did let me know ahead of time that something was going on."
Ballard also said "for something like this to happen I think they are getting close, and it just makes me feel really good

Just got to the site of the FBI search in the Crystal Rogers case. New today- a stop sign warning cars not to pass. We’ve also been told the FBI is keeping the dig more secretive today, they won’t be allowing any cameras to come close.
