Police look for woman missing out of Covington

Covington police and Kenton County Emergency Management have issued a Golden Alert for Denita Satchwell, 58.

She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs 140 pounds, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

Satchwell is said to have a serious illness that requires time-sensitive medication, which she does not have. Those who reported her missing said she may be headed to Warsaw to visit an unknown cemetery where her mother is buried.

Her vehicle is also missing. It's a maroon 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser with a broken driver's side window that is covered in plastic with license plate 570RLS, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or Covington police at 859-292-2258.

The body of a Covington woman who went missing on June 9 was found in a wooded area late Thursday night near Rabbit Hash, Covington Police said.

On Friday, police announced that two people, including a juvenile, have been arrested and charged in connection to the death of Denita Satchwell, 58. Satchwell was last seen driving her car in Covington on June 9.

Police said Breadon Reaves, 18, of Erlanger, was charged with facilitation to homicide. The Juvenile has been charged with murder, robbery and tampering with evidence.

Police had not confirmed these details or disclosed a motive in the death by Friday night. They questioned 38-year-old Kenneth Maurice Jones, a cousin of Satchwell’s whom they considered a person of interest, during the day.

A third suspect, 18-year-old Breadon Reaves, faces a charge of facilitation of murder. He was arrested on June 14.

While she was being choked or strangled, she began to scream and a bag was placed over her head to muffle the sounds,” Covington police Detective Jess Hamblin said in court.

Police confirmed in court that Jones is a cousin of Satchwell. Investigators said he had recently stayed with her and even took her to doctor appointments, so he knew exactly what kind of medications she had.

“Mr. Jones is a recovering heroin addict. He was actually a councilor for Grateful Life Network, a peer counselor, but he had relapsed three months ago and has been spiraling out of control since then,” Hamblin said.
