https://www.lex18.com/news/golden-alert-issued-for-18-year-old-draven-oller

18-year-old, Draven Oller is missing. The family told officers Oller is intellectually challenged and incapable of taking care of himself. Oller is a ward of the state and had not been seen in approximately two weeks.

Oller is approximately 5′10″ in height and 300 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes. His clothing description is not known.

I can't wrap my mind around this at all. I keep going over the info that he's a ward of the state, intellectually challenged, and incapable of taking care of himself, and a family member had to drive to Lexington to report him missing after two weeks.

So if he's incapable of taking care of himself was he living in a group home or similar? If he was in a home why wouldn't he have been reported missing before two weeks have passed? There has to be more to this story. Praying for Draven to be somewhere safe.

You're so right. The Kentucky Cabinet for Health and Family Services had to appoint a Public Guardian or Conservator when Draven was declared a ward of the state, and I wonder when that took place. There is a "volunteer" child advocacy center on Loch Ness but it is not a group home. There is more to this story and it's worrisome.

Something is very strange here indeed. I have worked in group homes for the intellectually challenged (do in-home care now) and they wouldn't have gone two MINUTES before being reported missing, never mind two weeks. Unless the places I have worked are somehow miraculously far above the norm in quality, something is very odd there.

I don't know if he recently had his 18th birthday but if so... could this mean he might have changed residences? This may have caused confusion for him (and possibly caregivers?) or something?? He was a good-sized young man... he would be quickly missed so this is puzzling. JMO
