I don't think the car information is correct. A Pontiac 2+2 would be an older car than 1976. Could the year be incorrect (like 1966 or 1967 instead of 1976)? Or did someone misunderstand the Pontiac's model name? I think a lot of people called the Pontiac Grand Prix a 2+2 long after Pontiac stopped that. Or does 2+2 refer to the car's style (2 front seats, 2 read seats) and not Pontiac's use of that as a model name?

Good question. Most sources I ran across said the model was "unknown" so I'm not sure why the 2+2 was always mentioned, unless it's like you said, it's regarding the seats. Never heard of such a thing but I'm no car expert. Good catch! Thanks for sharing.

I found a color photo of him in the same 1979 Simon Kenton HS yearbook.

This is his mother’s Find A Grave which has another photo of him linked to it.

“Eugene Gabbard was Ina's first husband. They had one son, Eugene Garrard Jr.
Jr. left for work one day and never did return home. This was under invitation for a long time. They thought there was foul play, they never did find his body.
Aunt Ina never did get over the death of her son. This was about the year of 1882?”

Age: 30-50 (Eugene would have been 38 in 2000, so this also matches)
Height: 5' 9"(69 inches), Estimated
Weight: Unknown
Eye Color: Unknown
Hair Color: Brown
Scars/Marks: Tattoo upper left arm: skull, Texas, Indian. Tattoo, right elbow of web; tattoo, left elbow of web; tattoo, right front arm of HD.

If heartanium doesn't respond soon, you should submit this. It really does sound promising.

I did end up submitting but got no updates, to be honest it wouldn't hurt to submit again if you like!

I found a newspaper that referenced his disappearance with some details. According to the article, he disappeared on January 15th, 1985 but I think January 14th, 1985 is probably accurate (I don't trust journalism to get details right). He was driving that day to purchase a truck. He had $3000 cash on him. I wondered if anyone who knew he had that kind of money on him might target him. $3000 cash is about $8700 cash today. The clipping is The Mountain Eagle. August 15th, 2001.
