Identified! KY - Hart Co., Woman's body in vacant house, Dec'13, Podesta Owens

Interesting. I have seen occasionally on NCMEC them listing if a teen took a dog with them when running away. Does anybody know if there was any more information about the dog running in and out of the abandoned house this female was found in? Definitely could be connected. There are homeless people that will hold on to their dogs or if they are living in their cars then they will keep their cats inside with them.

If this is the area I remember then someone local would have to know about the old road.

What we really need is more info!! I will keep checking the local news channels back home and my sister works at a hospital in Elizabethtown and she promised to text with any thing she hears, I need to see this one solved and solved quickly.

not sure if it could be...

i know it is a little far away and a longer time period, but you never know. Im sure LE has already thought of this, though....

I was thinking about Brookelyn, but I don't think it's her. To me, it sounds like Brookelyn probably died shortly after she disappeared and the home was set on fire.
The use of the word ''body'' in this UID's story implies that she's ... well, ''fresher'' and not severely decomposed or outright skeletonized.

Could be her with the very little information given so far. Also, I have been thinking about the top more again and the neons made me think of this top possibly being worn out to raves. They are fairly popular with teens and neon colors are commonly worn at raves since they show under the special black lighting. Spencer's sells a lot of different tops that show up under black lights and some similar looking to the top.

Actually, after reading more of Brookelyn's case, I do not think this female is her. Of course anything is possible, but no.

I can't help but think of of the Drexel case, if she was a runaway and ended up in another state...and the shirt she was wearing when she left wasn't hers.....How awful to just have this shirt and nothing more to go on. :( I hope they are able to ID her somehow; maybe with DNA. :grouphug:

it would be great if it was Brook, but i know that its a long shot.....the Drexel case is a possible, thats the girl with the dog, right?
that shirt is certainly important...its something i would completely remember a loved one wearing....it would stand out in my mind, like, "that her pj top, or her bumming around the house shirt, or laundry day top..." you know what i mean?

Too bad something like this couldnt be showed on GMA or a show people from everywhere watch. It shouldnt be too hard to identify her if people see this.

I really do not think this young woman is Brittanee Drexel. Sadly I doubt she would of made it of South Carolina whether she is alive or being held against her will.

I think this girl most likely came from Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, Ohio or Tennessee. I am saying those states as they surround the side of Kentucky that this young woman was found at.

I went sifting through news reports for recently-missing women and found some potential matches.

Bertha Wolford - Went missing 113 miles (less than 2 hours) away earlier this month. Veeery little information about her.

Chelsie Leigh Torongeau-Chandler Went missing 320 miles away a little over a month ago. Sadly, she's another one with very little information.

Sandra Daugherty - 102 miles away, went missing on Dec. 16th.

I'll look for more

Since the shirt is the only information they have released I wonder if it was the only clothing found?

That is what I have been wondering. The top did look kind of ripped. I really hope she was we wearing pants or something as a body being found unclothed from waist below is a sign of sexual assault.

Apparently there was a recent wind storm prior to the time this young woman was found. Do not know if perhaps she became injured during the storm and later died of her injuries inside of the absndoned house. Also, in this article, somebody is missing a dog, though I doubt that is the same dog as the dog going in and out of the abandoned house. Just saying as that so called stray dog may actually not necessarily be a stray dog for a number of reasons.
