I've read the thread and several articles, but maybe I've missed a few things. Can anybody help answer:
-Where (and when) were the bathing suit bottoms found?
-Does the lab have dna "taken from the suit bottoms", or do they have the suit bottoms - from which they are hoping to retrieve dna"?
-Why is HT's mom (Sarah) "adamant" that Dill's DNA will not match that found on the suit bottoms?
-If LE has had dna from the suit bottoms, has it been checked against public dna databases and then researched using genetic genealogy? (maybe it has been..)
-Has the issue of whether there was one witness call tape (or two) been resolved? I would think this would be an easy thing to determine - just ask the witness with the telescope: did he make more than one call? Does he remember talking to a female or a male dispatcher? Does he recall saying wig and mosquito netting?
-Surely LE asked witnesses back then about MD's appearance in the days leading up to - and the days just after - Heather's disappearance. Did he have long hair and a beard in the days before, but then was bald and clean shaven in the days after? (not that being bald and clean shaven both before and after would rule him out - given the possibility of wig and mosquito netting?)
-Did any acquaintance if MD suggest he owned a wig or mosquito netting? I assume LE asked his wife that question..
-did HT and MD know each other before HT went missing?
-Did MD have an alibi? If so, what was it?
-Where is the bronco now?
-I assume that a search warrant or probable cause warrant was obtained to exhume MD's body. Does anybody know on what basis the warrant was issued? (Is the warrant a public doc?).
-I wonder if the basis for the warrant was the tentative identification of an individual or a close family member via genetic genealogy investigation of dna found on the suit bottoms? If so, the exhumation may just be to confirm a 100 percent match?
