FB kept trying to shut this guy down but he kept on making up new accounts. I wonder if his church is standing "behind" him tonight.

Kentucky pastor uses Facebook to solicit and distribute child 🤬🤬🤬🤬

"The FBI has arrested and charged a Kentucky church pastor with posting child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 on 13 different, false Facebook profiles.

The Facebook account belongs to Jerry Cannon, 62, a pastor of God's House Church in Dry Ridge, Kentucky. Cannon's profile information lists his hometown as Mobile, Alabama and the account has pictures of various houses on Government Street and Dauphin Street in Mobile, Alabama.

According to court documents, a private citizen contacted the Fairhope Police Department in Alabama concerning child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 that was posted on Facebook...."

and

"...The fake account "Terry Lewis" was found to have more than 600 images of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, including prepubescent girls with their genitals exposed. It also had multiple videos of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬, including adults performing sex acts on young girls. The FBI investigation states that Cannon expressed an interest in pictures of girls ranging from 10 to 16 years old....."

A bit more info:

".... The FBI said Jerry Cannon used Facebook accounts to solicit pictures of minors in sexual acts. Cannon, 62, started the God's House Church in Dry Ridge four years ago. Cannon is no longer the church's pastor and members said what he's accused of is wrong and he should pay for it...."

and

"....Cannon wrote: "I have about 25 albums of pics on here so far, I had to start over when I was deleted, I will add you to see all, they range mostly 9-21 yrs old, I like them to be 10-16 myself....."

and

"....In a Facebook message sent last April under his own name, Cannon said he thought about a 10-year-old relative. "Well I like looking at young beautiful girls and I cannot seem to get it out of my system. I have tried to put it behind me, but can not seem to bury it."

FWIW: It's awfully refreshing to see a church immediately dismiss the pastor and be candid about the appalling nature of his purported crimes. I have a feeling there's a good deal of evidence. I sure hope that little 10 year old relative is safe tonight.

You would think that he would have gotten the hint after his FB account kept getting shut down. But they never do.

It is so sad, you cannot trust anyone with your children anymore.

Does this really bug anyone else? Judges seem to often release people awaiting trial to family members. I just can't wrap my mind around this. Do the family members accept liability if the person commits another crime? Just how is a grown man supposed to be supervised by his own brother? Come on.....

Former pastor accused of using Facebook for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 can live with brother, judge rules

A federal judge here today ruled that a former Kentucky pastor can live with his brother in Mobile until his trial on charges that he was using Facebook to trade child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬.

Prosecutors had sought to keep Jerry L. Cannon in jail. “It appears that while the defendant is not a resident of this area and apparently has lived in Kentucky a substantial period of time ... he does have ties in the community,” U.S. Magistrate Judge Sonja Bivins said. The judge also noted that nothing in a pretrial report indicated that Cannon poses a risk to flee. “The issue of dangerousness is a closer call,” said Bivins, who added that electronic monitoring would be sufficient to keep the public safe....."

I seem to remember a few other judges saying the same thing before the accused cut off their GPS anklets and disappeared. I hope this was a safe call. Is the brother supposed to keep the computers away from this guy? He sure seemed determined in the past to access the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬. What's changed now?

I don't know where the church folk are standing now. An update:

Ex-pastor pleads guilty to using Facebook to send and solicit child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

"A former church leader from Kentucky pleaded guilty today to charges that he posted child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 on his Facebook pages and used the social networking website to send images to others.

Jerry L. Cannon, 63, faces 5 to 20 years on each of two counts of distribution of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. Assistant U.S. Attorney Maria Murphy said U.S. District Judge Ginny Granade could run the sentences for both one after the other. “It’s a tough thing he’s into,” defense attorney Greg Hughes said of his client’s legal problems and decision to forgo a trial. “You just pick the lesser of possible bad consequences.....”

Did the victims in the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 get to pick the "lesser of possible bad consequences"?

Well, Pastor Cannon just about got the full ride. Sad to say that his victims received a sentence of far more than he got:

Ex-Pastor Sentenced In Child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 Case
July 20, 2011

"A 63-year-old former pastor from Kentucky apologized in court for sending and soliciting child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 on Facebook. U.S. District Judge Ginny Granade sentenced the defendant, Jerry L. Cannon, on Tuesday to the minimum 17½ years in federal sentencing guidelines and said the sentence is appropriate.

Cannon pleaded guilty in April to possession and distribution of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬. He admitted he posted child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 on various Facebook profiles, using his own and fake names. Court records indicated that Cannon used 13 phony accounts....

Ex-pastor from Kentucky gets 17 1/2 years for using Facebook to spread child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
July 20, 2011

"....Cannon actively posted videos of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 on Facebook and sent messages looking for child 🤬🤬🤬🤬; that he had 1,000 pictures and videos of child 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 showing children as young as 9 getting raped; that he admitted having incestuous thoughts about a young female relative; and that he claimed on Facebook to have had sex with a 14-year-old.

Now, there's one I haven't heard before.

Just had to add this. I was reading up on Facebook and child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 and came across Mr. Cannon--some actual screen shots of what his FB pages looked like. No, not the child 🤬🤬🤬🤬 but what anyone who just happened upon his site saw:
