Very interesting story. Thank Goodness for people like Susan and the reporter who took the time and interest to investigate and report it.

This is not solved! Jessica's own family believes the wrong man was convicted. Many people believe Galbreath actually hindered the investigation. None of it makes sense. I'm a local and MANY people believe there is much more to this case and that the wrong person is behind bars. The people who mishandled and possibly corrupted this case need to be brought to justice. Justice for Jessica!

Twenty-five years after 18-year-old Jessica Currin was killed and burned behind a Kentucky school, the man convicted of her murder still maintains his innocence — and, in a rare twist, the victim’s father is now asking the courts to take another look at the verdict ahead of a key fall court date.

Jessica’s father, Joe Currin, told CNN he supports reopening the case. “We’ve just always [been] hoping that the truth would bring itself out. But when you’ve got more people hiding the truth than you do trying to get to the truth, it’s kind of hard to do,” he said, according to CNN.

“The October 23 date is to argue for an evidentiary hearing,” Freleng tells PEOPLE. “If the judge agrees, everything presented at hearing will be included in the judge’s decision” on whether Cross should get a new trial. “Attorneys at KIP are very hopeful.”

Really enjoying the Graves County podcast, have a lot of respect for Joe Currin. A conviction that relies so heavily on such incredibly flimsy witness testimony is deeply troubling, imo.

Two key witnesses now say they lied about the murder of a young mother. Could this free a convicted killer?

An absolute blast from the past, am off to listen to podcast and catch up, IMO he did not get a fair trial,so many lies were told on witness stand, so many stories changed, I hope he gets either exonerated or a new trial,
I watched his first trial and there was so much wrong with how he was prosecuted, good to see he and his supporters are still fighting
