KY - Joseph Brock, 2, deceased in house fire, London, March 30 2019. Father sought. *Arrest*

It's a possibility the fire was covering up how his son died. What parent leaves their child in a burning trailer? I am just guessing but if the child died by smoke or fire wouldn't they say so?

Local news still reporting the father has not been found.
I hoped they would have him by today.

Wonder what that area is like. Lots of places to hide? Holed up with a friend?

This is where I live. It makes me sick to see this happening. I hope they find him soon.

Edit to add: The area where this happened is known as a drug spot.

Okay, where is Vaughn? Lol
Are you hearing any news?
IMO, he did not make it far, not on foot. He prob went to a nearby trailer & hunkered down, I think. Either he’s still there or someone drove him out in the middle of the night.
Why is he not turning himself in? Oh, prob because he will face some stout charges. Like murder & maybe arson? Moo

Oh yea, very rural spots.
I go with holed up with friend or family. By now, all family should have been checked & rechecked, and kept under surveillance.

The flip side of this is I've wondered briefly if he ran off and committed suicide.

I’m wondering if the child died from something other than smoke/burns, like you. Is the med examiner withholding info to keep from scaring Vaughn? Hoping he thinks they don’t know? Because imo, unless he factually knew his son was dead, he’d want to know. Obviously he knows now, but at the time he fled, how would he be certain. Explosion-accelerant, possibly?

Me too! Did he run to the woods? Maybe LE looking in wrong places?

Brock is a known name around here so more than likely he's with family holed up somewhere

Last I heard he’s still at large.

The one thing I have always disliked about this place is how inactive the police seem after having spent time in much larger cities around the country. I am sure they are doing their jobs but we have no update so we don't know anything at all.

Yes! Arrested, see WLEX. I was outside, walked in as details ended, murder & arson?

All along I've been assuming he was cooking meth and blew the place up. Do charges of murder and arson fit that scenario?

Vaughn Brock (Laurel County Detention Center)
Kentucky State Police say Vaughn Brock, 26, is charged with murder and first-degree arson following the death of his toddler son Joseph Brock. Brock was found at an apartment complex on Mill Creek Drive in Keavy.

Jail records show he was booked into the Laurel County Detention Center around 1:30 p.m.

Kentucky State Police said Vaughn Brock left the home following the fire and wasn't seen in days. A neighbor said Vaughn Brock ran outside when the fire started, but the little boy was still inside.

Visitation for Joseph Brock will take place 5-9 p.m. at Community Harvest Church at Buckhorn, while the funeral takes place 11 a.m. Apr. 4 at the same location.

Detectives are still investigating the case.

Thank you for posting this. I just found the news article

I should never be surprised at the horror human beings are capable of committing but I am. This poor baby.
What are you hearing locally? Tysm!

Murder/arson charges. Is murder bc of arson or did he murder his son then set fire?

A link to a publicly available news or funeral home site is fine. Accompanied by a short quote if you wish.
