Oh my god to lose two children, and on this short space of time

Oh man. I could have sworn there was an update at the bottom of the article but it's not there now.

I'm so sorry! Maybe they decided to keep it quiet?!

It sure was confirmed in that link. No clue as to what happened.

Creates more questions than answers!

How common is scouting the area for turkeys. in this area??

Any of folks contacted prior to discovery drug related ?
.

From getting caught it up it appears that there was release of the info - then retraction? That makes me think suicide-- family concerns ?

What reason would there be to retract a identification then re-release it?

Victim was shot once in the head. Twice in the chest. Something. Died from a gunshot wound is really pretty vague - and it kinda seems carefully crafted?

How far is this
Lewis/Carter County line from where his truck was? 15 to 20 feet from Cooper Ridge Road.

Does anyone know if this area is dense - in terms of good place to "hide" a deceased person, or is it out in open like he was shot from a distance? Would tire tracks be visible? Did he look dragged? Any effort to conceal body?

Shot elsewhere and dumped?

Was this area where the pings from his cell phone was pinging or in a totally unrelated area?

Shot in head (front back side) ?

Suicide ruled out?

How long had been deceased?

Gun at scene?

I assume one uses shotguns to murder turkeys -- was it a shotgun?

Was he beat up?

Money on him?

Cell phone?

Did the two that found him know him?

Was he found in an area that had been searched ?

I hate when they do this -- most of the above would be known upon arrival at the location within half an hour

Investigators believe more than one person is involved and Johnson knew the suspects

trying to think of what else other than drugs can result in several folks killing someone they know

affair

Sure is close in time to motorcycle death - which from far as I can tell no information was really released. Who was aat fault? Speed involved etc? Was anyone at accident drinking? Status of women?

I tried to find out more about brothers death - pretty much all it was was died tragically in a motorcycle accident.

They were close -might there be a connection? Close in time as well. Pretty small area - odds of two brothers being killed in three weeks? Just speculating.

Mom pretty quickly alluded to being dead and just wanting to know and find body for burial.

If anyone has one of those paid for criminal background things I wonder if there is not a wealth of information in that information

Big mysteries remain..................................

From your potent link:

IMO huge developments

Bivens says he believes Johnson was shot and killed in another location and then taken to Cooper Ridge Road. He also says he does not believe that Johnson's body has been on the road since he went missing on Thursday

how drugs could have played a role in Johnson's death.
"He was struggling really hard with his brother's death," Johnson's fiance, Nichole Gilliam, said. "He really was."

How come I feel as if the motorcycle stuff is somehow connected ?

it sounds so strange I acknowledge

Very, very, very, very common! ETA. In reference to turkey spotting.

Is it possible they may take another look at the brother's accident to see if maybe staged to look like one? Two brothers...two months apart? Something ain't right.

I know COD hasn't been released but this could be a suicide IMO. My friend's husband shot himself in the chest with a shotgun and when that didn't work he shot himself in the head. It's rare from what I understand for someone to shoot theirselves in the chest but it does happen.

Cooper Ridge Road (if it's the correct one) is 3 hours and 16 minutes from Vanceburg. There were a number of Lower Branch Roads so that's why I wonder if there's another Cooper Ridge. I also couldn't distinguish county lines. So I really don't know if this is correct.

A missing man case in Lewis County, Kentucky is now a homicide investigation after Justin Johnson's body was discovered Wednesday evening.

13 News was there as devastated family members heard the news from the sheriff.

Lewis County Sheriff Johnny Bivins said Justin Johnson's body was found by turkey hunters in the remote Cooper Ridge area of Lewis County.

A body discovered with one bullet wound and found 18 miles from where Johnson's truck was abandoned.

Bivins said Johnson was not shot and killed here.

He said the body was moved and maybe more than once.

Bivins told a grieving family that mounting evidence now takes him beyond people of interest.

WOW a loaded report huh? At least they are being honest. I hope finace and child are ok tho - these are not nice people.

Has anyone been able to find the actual pressers - when I put sheriffs name I get nothing relevant - I would love to hear the entire preser.

Anyone know how far the fire part is from where the body was found?

When I Googled the distance I got about 30mins driving. From cooper ridge Rd in KY to Mcdowells Creek Road in KY. The truck was found on the lower twin branch road I think which is off Mcdowells. I don't know where their house is so I don't know how far either location is from home. And I don't know if mine is correct either. So, JMO and as far as I can tell.
