One article shared that a SAR dog was bit on the nose by a copperhead during one of the initial searches for Kandi.

Bitten on the nose? Oooof, poor dog.

I don't understand this case. Let's face it, the factors of being a missing beautiful blonde plus a mom of a young child would seem to be the elements of a case that attracts a lot of attention, but not this time. Why is that?

Regarding 'comments' on public pages:

From The Rules: Social Media - Facebook, Twitter, etc.

Public Pages
Mainstream Media (MSM)
Law Enforcement (LE)
Group support pages for victims, such as "Help Find..." and "Justice for..."
Legitimate non-profit organizations who provide assistance and support to victims and their families (e.g., Klass Kids, Texas Equusearch).

  • Links may be used to direct members to a post by the owner or an admin of an approved social media page/profile.
  • NOTE: Comments and posts by readers/visitors of these pages are considered rumor. They are not allowed to be quoted, copied or referenced. Just don't mention them.
  • Posts by an owner or admin may be copied, quoted, or paraphrased. This refers primarily to posts or tweets by MSM reporters, announcements by law enforcement, the admin of a group support page (a page run by family)
  • Regarding group support pages, i.e., "Help Find..." and "Justice for...": If at any time the WS staff determines a group support page to be inappropriate, a notice will be posted in the thread stating that the page is no longer approved.
While we do allow members to direct others to an interesting comment, (for example "See interesting comment by XYZ or JBS at 12:30 pm Thursday"), that's it. No further discussion of the actual comments is allowed because they are considered rumor and your post will be removed.

From her FB it looks like she is a self employed massage therapist - I wonder if she had a problem client and was trying to flee from them?

I need to go back and check if I can find again something I read that someone posted somewhere that struck me about that address. At the time I thought "I need to check that" but of course went on to something else and only remembered it in the middle of the night when trying to get back to sleep! Ugh I need to keep better notes lol. Off to start all over!

I would love to look at her business financials or filings. Do we know how long she had this business? I would be interested to know how she financed it etc. Firm believer that everything boils down to money.

I'm thinking that it was the boys in the car who made the call and recorded the video? I'm a bit confused.

jmo

It sounds like its the same boys who were said to be touting her. It's NOT uncharacteristic for teenagers to be obnoxious. Recording her while she's asking for a phone, instead of giving her the phone, would def irritate the MESS out of anyone. Especially if they knew her bf who allegedly had just kicked her out. I'm not sure if the guys recording the video have spoke out yet or not though. Everyone knows everyone's business in a small town.

Was hoping for an update :(

I'm really leaning towards her being picked up by someone (really leaning toward the boyfriend she was trying to get away from) somewhere along a road and that he's done something to her. I pray I'm wrong.

I fully agree with you. I think she ended up circling back around near her residence and ran into the unsavory bf and perhaps a buddy or two of his. I believe he has unwritten protection. But then again, she may be hidden out somewhere safe - I hope and pray. But as each day passes that hope diminishes.

What a 3 ring circus online! About .01% of it is even relatively helpful. Something has to break soon. What is it with all these missing persons cases remaining unsolved!?

What makes you think so?

There’s no polite way to put this so I won’t attempt it.
<modsnip> Is it because of the pink hair? The video that could be misinterpreted as “eh, just someone on drugs, not worth our time”?

<modsnip>

Just to be clear: there’s no evidence she was anything but sober on video - I’m referring to an unfortunate tendency to describe someone in need of help as a junkie/drunkard.

Just to be crystal-clear: every missing person - of any race/gender/hair color/etc is a person worth finding.

The June 23 edition of the Floyd County Chronicle & Times newspaper from Prestonsburg, Kentucky is reporting that the search for Kandi Gonzalez in the Abbott Creek area was conducted by volunteers from Floyd and surrounding counties using dogs, divers, aerial drones, and submersible drones.

The newspaper article explained that aerial drones were used to get a bird's eye view of the mountain terrain and the submersible drones were used in the many ponds in the Abbott Creek area left behind by the mining industry.

The Floyd County Sheriff expressed his surprise over the number of ponds that were on the mountainside in the creeks and hollows.

Does anyone have the direct link to the video of her?

Video released as search for missing woman in Floyd County continues | FOX 56 Lexington

This link includes a video at the top of the page that has footage of the particular video of Kandi.

There are longer video footage out there (YouTube, etc) but aren’t links we can provide here.
*search “Kandi Gonzalez Missing Since 6/1/21” on YouTube; you should find an extended version of video footage w/ audio
