Well gosh, by all means let's get her out of the media so we don't upset the "social scientists". I'm not even remotely sure why you posted this inappropriate comment; her thread has a whopping seven pages here. Moo.

Perhaps I wasn’t clear enough: I find the lack of media coverage and the delayed search odd.

Nothing from her friends, coworkers or neighbors in MSM articles?

There’s not a public FB page set up for Kandi?

I don't have FB but this is a copy of post #3 in the thread which purports to be a public FB.

Public FB group - Help For Kandi -Missing Person

KY - Kandi Gonzales, 36, Prestonsburg, 01 June 2021

I’m not sure if it’s just me or what but for the past few days, the fb page has not worked right for me. I can click on the link to carry me to it, but once there it won’t load correctly.

To have 3 sets of people (boyfriend, boys in car and home owner) treat you badly and not help is just awful. What is wrong with that community?!? :(

The location where this incident occurred is in a rural area of Floyd County.

Folks living in rural areas of Eastern Kentucky are leery of strangers approaching their homes.

They are leery of strangers on account of the drug problem in that region. There have been incidents where drug influenced individuals have invaded or attempted to invade homes thought to be unoccupied when in fact the homes were occupied.

Now consider the fact that in this incident one evening an unknown person approaches the homeowner asking to use their telephone. And at the same time the homeowner also happens to see unknown persons nearby in a vehicle as well.

Now wouldn't you be suspicious if an unknown person comes to your home asking to use the telephone and you also see unknown persons nearby in a vehicle?

How is the homeowner supposed to know that the unknown persons aren't going to rob or invade their home?

I say that the homeowner did the right thing by making a telephone call for an unknown person rather than letting an unknown person inside their home. I can't blame the homeowner of being leery of strangers.

In my opinion, I believe that Kandi was trying to get away from someone and that she was in a frightened state when she approached the homeowner. I don't believe that she was a drug influenced or a mental person at all.

I have noticed that there have been several women in Eastern Kentucky that have disappeared over the years.

Among the women from Eastern Kentucky that have disappeared are:

August 2019 Krista Garrett, 33, Prestonsburg, Floyd County, Kentucky.

May 2015 Natasha Fugate Jones, 31, Knott County, Kentucky.

August 2013 Diana Roberts, 31, Perry County, Kentucky.

June 2009 Nancy Lockard, 33, Pike County, Kentucky.

March 2009 Crystal Hall (Branham), 24, Pikeville, Pike County, Kentucky.

Here are the similarities concerning the missing women.

Krista Garrett, Natasha Fugate Jones, Diana Roberts, and Nancy Lockard were white females in their early thirties and all had blonde hair.

Crystal Hall (Branham) was a white female in her mid twenties and she had red hair.

All of the women were mothers who had children when they suddenly disappeared.

All of the missing women mentioned above have their own individual threads on websleuths.

There’s A Petition Going Around The Internet To Get The FBI Involved In The Disappearance Of Kandi Gonzalez

In the days and now weeks since Kandi has disappeared, multiple searches have been organized in the hopes of finding more clues leading to Kandi.

So far, there’s no new information, and Kandi remains missing.

Now, there’s a petition going around the internet to get the FBI involved in Kandi’s disappearance.

“While the FBI will typically assist only at the request of local law enforcement, it’s clear that there’s been a mishandling of Kandi Green Gonzalez’s case from the very beginning,” the petition starts out by saying.

The FBI doesn't handle missing persons cases; kidnapping would need to be indicated to fall under federal jurisdiction.

I guess I did not realize that. I knew that they usually didn’t get involved unless they were asked by LE that were initially handling the case...

FBI assisted in Erica Hernandez’s missing persons case (TX). It was just a missing persons case, not a kidnapping, etc.

That must have resulted from extraordinary political pressure, as the case would be out-of-jurisdiction for the FBI.

IMO, there is a conflict of interest due to the inter-related parties connected to the Floyd County Sheriff Office.
Shouldn't this go to KSP kentuckystatepolice.org – The Thin Gray Line

Houston Police Department announced that they have brought in the FBI to help expand the search for Hernandez.
Local leaders, FBI join search for Erica Hernandez, missing mother of 3

HPD requested their assistance, FYI.
