Parents, Grandparents Arrested After Children Found Strapped Into Car Seat and Baby Swing for Days
the two children had apparently been strapped into a carseat and baby swing for days, were malnourished and covered in urine and feces. Police originally went to the home due to reports of animal cruelty and were set to seize the animals. That is when authorities discovered what was happening with the children in the home.
The four have been lodged in the Franklin County Regional Jail.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office arrested Megan Edgin, 21 on Jan. 2. According to an arrest citation, Edgin had left her two-year-old and seven-month-old children strapped in a car seat and swing for several days. Both children were reportedly “severely malnourished.”

The 2-year-old and 7-month-old were subjected to “cruel punishment” when they were “intentionally left buckled” into the seats for several days, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office said in uniform citations filed against the parents and two other family members in district court.

Sadly, I am pretty sure Megan, the children's mother, has a thread (or several) here at WS from when she was a minor runaway. It doesn't appear her life went in any sort of better direction from there.
