Oh excellent. That's a much better and clearer idea of what he might have looked like.

Thanks @carbuff!

I don't see this young man listed as a rule out.
Does anyone know if he was suggested?

There's quite a lot of similarity and he resembles the new reconstruction.

I agree, I wonder if our Doe had a tattoo or perhaps some trace of it.

Maybe decomposition didn’t make it visible.
So far, there’s a significant amount of resemblance!

That's his reference page, which is in a no-discussion forum. It looks like he doesn't have a discussion thread in the Missing forums.

Not to hijack this thread, but I have now created a thread for David Gionet here.

That was quick.

That was quick.

The MSP lead investigator seemed very professional and diligent. Must have been something that really stood out, that we aren't privy to knowing.

It would be interesting to know. I'm going to guess the tattoo didn't match up.

Bumping.

I really wonder why Gionet didn't match, I guess the UID didn't have a tattoo.

I honestly don't think our UID was reported missing, going off on the theory that his murderer was an abusive partner and since his family disowned him for being LGBT, the abusive partner was the "only" person on our UID's life. Sad.

The tanning kinda tells me he might have been from the south, and we know how conservative they are, which kinda strenghtens my theory.

Bumping here.

Has David Bruce Rea from Michigan been looked into for this Doe?

NamUs: The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System (NamUs)

Charley Project: David Bruce Rea – The Charley Project

David has the same glasses that were found nearby the Doe's body, he would have been either 32 or 31 on 1990 when the Doe was found, being on the age range he was found, he was 140 to 150 pounds and the Doe was 125 to 140 pounds, the off thing I think is the height because David is 5'9 to 5'10 and the Doe was 5'0 to 5'7. The doe was also described to have "curly" hair and graying, which I don't think David had.

He looks VERY similar to the new reconstruction, and those glasses are the same.

I hope I am not that far off.
