Lane was last seen at a gas station in Clay City on March 16th. Sheriff’s deputies say his mom and sister came in shortly after saying they hadn’t heard from Lane in a few days and how unlike him this was.

Lane has been reported missing since March 23rd, but his Facebook page’s profile picture was updated on April 3rd.

Last weekend, deputies got a tip that Lane’s body may be off Forge Mill Road in Clay City. Sheriff’s deputies say they believe the rough terrain of Powell County may be what’s delaying them finding Lane. They also add that they’re treating this as a missing person’s case until a body is found.

Wonder why they think he is dead? With the drug charges, maybe he decided to just go away. Hoping. He could be deceased, but was he threatened by anyone? Did he have a cell phone that could be traced? Was there video of him at the gas gas station that shows something happening?

New Tip Leads To Renewed Search For Powell County Man Missing Since March Of 2018

[...]

Two weeks ago, Lane’s sister, Amanda Mills received a tip to check an area outside of Clay City near the Mountain Parkway which brought them to Adams Ridge Road.

“We’re just really looking for answers…if anyone out there’s got a heart and wants to tell us what’s going on, we would greatly appreciate it,” said Mills.

The family acknowledges the harsh reality that Lane will most likely not be found alive. But they still want to know what happened to him in order to start the healing process.

“It’s been a really tough year. We’ve been through the holidays, the weddings, the birthdays, and he’s not been there” said John Mills, Roy’s brother-in-law.

Nothing turned up in Saturday’s search.
