I would never defend emotional abuse in a relationship. However, I wonder if Ryan were intentionally cold or mean to her, hoping to drive her away or make her dislike him since he couldn't get rid of her any other way. Hmm.

Defense rests in Hubers' murder trial; closing arguments begin Thursday

Prosecutors say there is no evidence that there was a struggle between Hubers and Poston, and no basis for her self-defense claim.


Pamela Metz was cleaning the apartment next to Poston’s the night he was shot.


“We heard the arguing, some shuffling around then some blunt noises. When we heard the blunt noises,” Metz said, “I looked at my daughter and I made the comment that maybe one of them shot the other one.”

The messages revealed that Patrick's number was saved in Hubers's phone under the name Patricia. The texts also show that Hubers made an interesting request of Oyler, who's now a dentist in Indiana.

"Ryan's been begging me to ask if you could do his veneers. Please eff them up and make him ugly so he'll never get another girl. I hate him," Oyler read from a text Hubers sent two days before the shooting.

It is amazing how the obsession with hatred and wanting to get even keeps boiling in people like her.

Reminds me so much of the Jodi Arias case where it was obvious her obsessive hatred against Travis boiled over to the point she drove over 1000 miles to kill him.

This one here in this case doesnt even try to hide her obsessive hatred.

Shayna Hubers had post-traumatic stress disorder after she shot and killed her boyfriend in October 2012, a clinical psychologist testified Wednesday in her murder trial.

She also exhibited symptoms of narcissism and bipolar disorder, he said.

After the closing arguments, since it's going to be a quick verdict IMO, I think the jurors will check the lunch menu to see what's for lunch, as to whether they convict the killer before or after lunch.:biggrin:

Once these rebuttal witnesses are done closing arguments were scheduled to begin at 1:45 p.m.

After that, Judge Fred Stine will charge the jurors and deliberations can begin.
