After canvassing the scene of the fire that broke out Sunday morning on Scuddy Branch Road in Perry County and killed Sandra Kay Melton, 64, and Suzy Melton, 35, investigators initially said they had no reason to suspect foul play.

But now they say the circumstances are "suspicious"...

James Melton, who lost his wife and daughter in the fire, told Mountain News he was in Somerset visiting other family when he received the call about the fire.

Two years later, and there are still no answers in a Perry County murder case...

"You know, they told us in the beginning that it is likely someone that we know and that is close to the family, so for the last two years, everyone we look at, we're wondering if they did it," said Carolyn Ramey, Sandra Kay Ramey's niece and Suzy Melton's cousin.

"The preliminary results of that autopsy concluded that both deaths of the two victims were not consistent with the fire only," said KSP spokesman Jody Sims. Now, family members are offering a $5,000.00 reward for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
