Catlettsburg Police say a Golden Alert is issued for a 71-year-old woman who is a paranoid schizophrenic off her medication.

Sandra Brown was dropped off by a taxi between 8 and 9 a.m. Tuesday on 13th Street near the YMCA.

Police say they have some worries because of the cold temperatures, but they also say it makes searching for her more difficult because she may be sitting inside a warm restaurant or store somewhere.

"The temperature, where it's getting cold is a big concern for us," said Police Chief Cameron Logan. "We would like to locate her safe."

Brown is 4 feet 10 inches tall, 125 pounds, with brown eyes and blonde, shoulder length hair.

Catlettsburg Police say a golden alert has been cancelled after a 71-year-old woman was found safe Thursday.

Police were worried about Brown's condition because of colder weather conditions this week.

We are working to find out more information on Brown's condition.

Golden Alert issued for missing Boyd County woman

Emergency officials have issued a Golden Alert for a missing 71-year-old woman in Boyd County, Ky.

Sandra Brown was last seen leaving Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland on Tuesday, July 3, according to a news release from the Ashland-Boyd County-Catlettsburg Emergency Management office.
