I don't think that's in Garrard. That fencing almost looks like up around Shakertown but it's been awhile since I've been there. Don't remember, but the fencing looks kinda like their fence style. The locks are closed on the river from five through 14, so you can't navigate it past certain points, anymore.

Here's a list of all the Ky River Boat Ramps.

https://finance.ky.gov/offices/kra/Pages/Boat Ramp List.aspx

I’m just posting what they posted. I’ve literally never been on Kentucky river. We go out on rough river every summer and I’ve gone out on Nolin quite a few times. I’ve only ever driven over ky river lol

However, Iirc, Herrington rents boats, and probably would have donated a boat, especially at this time of year. Idk. They may be going to search the river or Cedar. The river would be a daunting task but at least the weather is better today.
He said Lexington area though... Hmmm. There's all kinds of boaters in the Lincoln/Garrard area but maybe they aren't wanting to bring attention to searching at Cedar. Oh, they could be searching at Herrington! How could I forget Herrington?
I wonder if the Cajun Coast group is looking for a particular type of boat. In Louisiana, many boaters have flat bottom boats.

I’d imagine jon boats or something similar would be more affective if they’re using the dogs. That’s flat bottomed, isn’t it? Something close to the water and not too powerful would probably be preferred.

That looks like the palisades. I'm guessing they are looking between Locks 7, 8, & 9. The locks are closed, so they would have to put in between each one to search each segment of the river.

I wonder how many more days of fruitless searches before LE reveals a little bit more.

Hum they have gone where LE asked them to search now just looking!
Almost like a needle in a haystack!
Does anybody happen to know if this team is being supported with housing and food? I know it's a volunteer group but they have a lot of expenses getting there and maintaining!

I believe they are still working in conjunction with LE. Also from previous posts this is just one of a few areas searched today. They do work off of donations but the commander stated there has been an outpour by locals and are being given lodging, food, etc by those in the area (per CCSAR video posted previously).
ETA: CCSAR has very strict rules about working according to local LE. They are very cautious in not going beyond those parameters and always make clear they will only search with LE approval and guidance. (Been semi following them since Harvey)

That sounds like Tim's group down in Texas. They only search if both the family and LE ask! I think that works best for everybody.

Just from following past cases, specifically Crystal Rogers, if they get something from the car that was towed- they’ll probably release some more info. I don’t expect any thing until then other than the routine search reports. I know they said they would search for at least a week, and would stay longer if they’re asked.

They did say in the live vids that hotels had offered up rooms and businesses have offered food. They have a PayPal account set up for monetary donations, specifically for transportation needs (gas, etc...).

I can't be sure. The river has those carved out walls in certain places. It's a beautiful river if you are just out to enjoy the scenery.

I was looking at the linear markings but now thinking the rock may be something like shale?

I'm always curious when these searches are going on. I keep wondering if somebody is getting really nervous! Gosh I hope they find her.
