So if you would’ve gone to a Waffle House after hours, then that’s likely what she did? One key to effective theorizing is putting yourself in another person’s shoes and thinking the way they do, rather than putting another person in your shoes and having them think the way you do. Planning to go to a restaurant to sober up doesn’t usually include calling someone to say you won’t be home until morning.

Was “The Other Bar” a place she frequented, or was this a first? Her Aggravated DUI would seem to be a clue. If it was her pattern to drink there and leave with others, each time arriving home safely without incident, it sure wouldn’t be publicized. And if that’s the case, then it would be fair to say her reputation preceded her, and she would be on the radar of many different men who have but one thing in mind. Understanding that would go a long toward revealing whether any of those 3 guys had any sexual expectations of her as they all left. Giving her the benefit of the doubt that she was not of that mindset herself, one or more of those guys would certainly lull her into a false sense of security until they reached their destination after she checked in with her mom.
No. What I'm saying is that if we take what her best friend said about her seriously, that's one possibility of what she could have been doing in the car with those men, instead of assuming she must have acquiesced to going all the way to GC. This is one possibility.

Savannah Spurlock’s dad says her son doesn’t know she’s missing

Spurlock (father) said the missing Kentucky woman was going through a difficult phase and “making horrible decisions” around the time that she disappeared in the early morning hours of Jan. 4.

I don't like the sound of this.

I think her dad did a good job. He cleared up somethings people have debated about he admitted she was having a hard time and not acting like herself. Thanks for this.

Well that answers the question about who has the kids, at least one of them.

I'm certain it's in one or more of the articles posted. I'm not looking for it, I know I've read it in MSM. Maybe doesn't say where the girlfriend lived. I may have assumed Richmond since it said Savannah and her drove to Lexington in Moms car to go to male friends home. That's why I asked you if she was from Lexington.

I was just laying out possible scenarios, like it’s possible for there to be simple explanation for why they met in Lexington. One way you can tell is I will always say imo, jmo, or moo. If I state something as fact I will always try to provide a link per TOS or if asked to will try my best to find one or go back and add moo to the post until I can prove it as fact.

This is new. Wonder what was causing her to have a difficult time and make horrible decisions?

Postpartum Depression? JMO, it takes a while before all the hormones balance back out. She certainly would not be the first woman to really struggle after a pregnancy.

Except he referenced the argument...which I think is the same way we heard about it, i.e he did not hear it directly from anyone involved as he says he did not know the woman she was with. So I think he was just repeating what he has read? And he had her son from before, so probably when she was due to give birth?

She has been pregnant on and off since she was 17 or 18. That's gotta be hard.

No doubt. That's why I don't even begin to victim blame. Her choices may not be our choices but she is so young and sounds like was going through a tough time following her last pregnancy.

I'd like to believe both parents. Perhaps she was , in the past, a responsible person and mother and for whatever reason was recently going through a hard time.

Absolutely I imagine pregnancies could have sent her off the rails, especially having twins...so maybe her behavior that night was in line with recent actions, but not how friends saw her overall...and no one one would want to be the one to say otherwise jmo.

I have to reread it but I thought he said it was disagreement over what the plans were after they left the bar. He also mentioned her behavior. It's possible because I read the earlier reports that said she wanted to stay. This almost makes it sound like she wanted to stay out. Disagreement might actually fit. You're trying to go home and get your friend to come with you but they aren't ready to end the night. That's not any angry disagreement where you leave on bad terms. Claiming they argued makes it seem like she was abandoned and she could call her friends for help. It also does a disservice to the friend, making it seem like she could have saved her. What was she supposed to do?

A parent might want to just see the best in their child. Or enables them. Other parents might feel the truth could more effectively lead to answers.

I'm quoting the whole paragraph that references SS had been making horrible decisions:

BBM
Spurlock said the missing Kentucky woman was going through a difficult phase and “making horrible decisions” around the time that she disappeared in the early morning hours of Jan. 4. But he feels she was going to snap back to the responsible daughter and mother that many people say she was.

I find it interesting that SS's dad now has the oldest son not mom <maybe bc she is working> and I believe the bio dad isn't in the picture IIRC.

Possible reasons for recent horrible decision making:
  • 4 babies under 5 yo at age 23
  • Recently delivered twins PPD possible
  • Recent DUI
  • Probably overwhelmed with her lack of progress in life
  • Money issues, if she had been out of work for a long while

She's not perfect, she's young, impulsive, fun loving, but she is also a human being like the rest of us who make mistakes, and hopefully learn from them and move forward.

I just realized I am talking about her in the present tense, which I haven't done in awhile. I really don't think she is coming home alive. :(

Just jumping in regarding Sav being postpartum. That's a hard, weird time for many, especially being so young and having just had TWINS. I can't imagine. And she's so young, she was probably anxious to get out and have some fun and forget about real life for a night.

As far as looking for a "hook up" - I'm a little skeptical <modsnip: unnecessary>. Maybe she just thought they'd hang out and he'd call her another time or something. I highly doubt she mentioned that she had newborn twins to any of the men. That's not very "sexy" when you are out trying to relax and have fun and forget your woes for awhile. It seems possible to me that someone got pushy and discovered her situation and was not happy about it, especially being intoxicated. I don't know tho, JMO, but it's what I keep thinking.

I feel really sad about this whole thing, such a shame. Please be found Savannah.

She just as easily could be going through a tough time before giving birth. Her rough patch could have nothing to do with her pregnancy.

I know and I keep telling myself to quit posting because I've shared all of my theories.

After my recent post about how far that is from Lexington to Crab Orchard I thought of something new.

Why wouldn't Savannah have followed them with her car, they could have let her drop her Moms car off and headed to Crab Orchard after that. Or she just could have driven her car to Crab Orchard.

When considering the above, I have to wonder how much she had drank and was it leaving her unable to make good decisions.? Was anyone sober enough to be driving? Thinking one of the guys could have driven Savannah's car for her if they felt she was drunk and she or they didn't want her to drive.

I'm thinking now she was either really drunk and went with them not thinking about any consequences or they tricked her or possibly forced her into going that far. If so kidnapping may be tacked onto murder and other charges.
Aaaannddd lets not forget they left the bar with 2 vehicles and ended up in 1.... so possibly something might have happened during the time they dropped the truck off and all jumped into the white sedan. The moms story is confusing as to who is in the back seat..either it was a girl and guy or it was 2 guys also SS was reported in the front seat as well as being in the back seat. To my knowledge the white sedan is the only vehicle they have searched, and the pond they searched over the weekend belongs to a family member of the guy who owns the white sedan... smh...

That's true.

I totally agree. I CANNOT get my mind to a place where SHE was out looking for a "hook up" so soon after. No matter how the babies were delivered. Just from a physical recovery perspective alone.
