LMPD: 2 dead, including a juvenile,

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —

Two are dead after police responded Friday to reports of a shooting in Louisville's Jacobs neighborhood.

According to Louisville police, crews responded just after 1 p.m. to a shooting in the area of Kahlert Avenue and West Southern Heights, just off Taylor Boulevard.


When they arrived, officials found a man in his 20's fatally shot. A juvenile victim was taken by LMPD to Kosair Children's Hospital, but ultimately died from their injuries. According to the family, the child is 3-year-old Trinity Randolph.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Police confirmed one child and one adult have died after a shooting in the Jacobs neighborhood Friday afternoon.

MetroSafe said it received reports of one adult and one juvenile shot on the 3700 block of Kahlert Ave. at around 1 p.m. LMPD said officers located a deceased man in his mid-20s and one juvenile with gunshot wounds.

Louisville Dad, his 3-year-old daughter killed in double shooting | whas11.com

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The Jefferson County Coroner's Office has identified the victims of a double homicide in the Jacobs neighborhood Friday afternoon.

The victims have been identified as 21-year-old Brandon Waddles and three-year-old Trinity Randolph. The Coroner's Office confirmed that Waddles was the father of Randolph.

‘Our princess’: Family holds funeral for Trinity Randolph, 3, after fatal shooting

Randolph’s mother Tynekia was dressed in white as she and her family walked into King Solomon Baptist Church. Her daughter loved Disney’s “Frozen” and her funeral reflected it; actors dressed as Disney princesses even greeted Randolph’s family on the steps outside the church as they entered the sanctuary. As the funeral began, Randolph’s family lined up to view her body in an open casket surrounded by flowers, pink and yellow balloons, a castle backdrop, and pictures of Randolph in a princess costume.

LMPD officials arrest alleged shooter of 3-year-old Trinity Rudolph

According to LMPD officials, Trinity and Waddles was fatally shot by Kevon Lawless on Aug. 14, in the Jacobs neighborhood. Trinity was transported to Norton Children's Hospital where she died shortly after, while Waddles was pronounced dead at the scene.

Lawless was arrested on Tuesday afternoon and charged with murder, 1st degree burglary and possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, according to an LMPD spokesperson.
