I didn't know that there were current searches taking place in this case. I noticed an entry in the right side column here with recent posts. If I hadn't seen the post, I wouldn't have known that the investigation is still active and that there might one day be justice for dear, sweet Kyron Horman. :praying: Will read through this thread and get caught up to date.

Springville on the other end connects to Germantown Road that meets Cornelius Pass rd that is used to get to the the freddie's (grocery store she went too) she went to a freddie's store in Beaverton as well, depending on traffic, 10-15 mins in between stores. Cornelius Rd and German town Rd also heads down in the other direction to Hwy 30 which you need to use to get Sauvie's Island. Hwy 30 also leads to downtown. All those roads in that area lead to hwy 30 and their other ends lead to Cornelius pass rd. These are all major thru routes for trucks and commuters bypassing the busy Hwy 26 that leads into Portland. Note all these roads are single lane for both directions and by midday those roads are not very busy. It is a high commuter usage roads

The street they closed is very close to the school. There is a creek way down the hill from that road but you just cant walk down it. It is very very steep. I am hoping he was not thrown down there :(

What is the street? I;m trying to make a map.

BTW, thank you so much, Oregonmama, for remaining diligent and keeping this thread and Kyron's case alive.

I have no idea about tgat area, but if searchers are rappelling in the area, how could Kyrin get down there with Terri or with someone else?

Blackberry bushes grow up and spread so maybe they were not so thick then.

How could anyone get him down such an area?

Throw his body.

Well, I see that Truth Prevails made a lovely map already! Maybe if we have the specific street, they can input that into the map they already did!

Or could it be that Kyron was discarded near a ravine and parts separated over the years and became small enough to wash down through the brambles on their own? All they need is one small bone. And I apologize for even giving light to my thoughts. I still pray that there is another answer.

Yes, a specific location would be wonderful.

Maybe for these very recent searches that would be possible, but the early ones covered such a broad area that I had to settle for a "general" location for the pin placement. Also, they really wanted to keep the exact search location secret for most of the searches done in the later years (with the exception of the very early ones and these last two); so, I apologize for any of the search markers that anyone may think is a little off the mark so to speak or any that I missed.

And--just to mention--I have found that a search usually covers a radius, so I find it helps to draw an imaginary circle around the area of the pin marking a search.

Coincidentally, I just removed an overgrown blackberry bramble this past weekend. No small task I can assure, and not without some wounds for the effort. If his remains were tossed amoungst brambles, they are still there.

Terri's friend DeDe S said that she was gardening the day Kyron disappeared. Was her yard checked?

I've thought that maybe she pushed him directly or with the truck.
BBM

Reading about the search along the ravines, I too wondered about this. After taking Kyron from school (saying he had a dr's appt), TH may have pulled off the road next to the ravines under the premise of changing the baby's diaper. She could have lured Kyron out of the truck and to the edge of the cliff by telling him something like, "Oh, come here and look at the baby deer caught in the brambles, Kyron!" Once he was at the edge ("over this way a little more"), she would just need to give him a hard push and he would've tumbled to his death. :(

If Kyron's body had been discovered in an early search, it would be easy enough to explain his death by presuming he'd wandered away from the school and accidentally fell into the ravine. The stop on the road would have taken only a few minutes and TH had all the other stops that morning to provide an alibi -- plus the red herring to Sauvie Island to throw off the investigation.

Maybe TH learned from the failed murder-for-hire not to depend on other people to do her dirty work. Maybe, then, DDS wasn't involved in Kyron's disappearance but TH stopped by her friend's worksite to chat, providing another alibi. Perhaps DDS had testified before the GJ only that TH didn't have Kyron with her when she visited her at work. That would've made DDS confident that her friend actually didn't have anything to do with Kyron's disappearance. Just speculation.

I have not followed this case too much. I did live in St. John's Portland for several years recently and used Germantown Road on a daily basis at times. So I am familiar with the area. I have some questions that are answered in the article:

1. When did custody/living arrangements change for Kyron?
2. Was Skyline his new school? Or had he attended this prior to changing households?
3. How long did he live with dad and step-mom?
4. Why did this change in living arrangements occur?

I read the below article...is it correct?

http://www.oregonlive.com/portland/index.ssf/2010/06/kyron_hormans_blended_family_f.html

I forgot about the bed wetting. Isn't odd for a child his age to start wetting the bed again? Isn't that a red flag something is wrong? I never thought about something happening to Kyron that Terri knew about, or was responsible for that she would want that kept a secret from his dad.

A lot of things could case bed wetting. A change in daily routine, change of custody, new baby or sibling, new rules in a home different from another home, a growth spurt. This does not mean something bad or abusive occurred, it came signify a life change, some regression, or growth spurt. Seeing mom again routinely, the long drives on the weekends. Thats a 4.5 hour drive each way.

Thanks for sharing, that is what I have thought for years, that she took him back out. That is the only thing that adds up here. So, did she take him or did someone else?

Was this witnessed? I saw someone posted that a witness saw him leave with her. Was this verified by LE or just Facebook gossip? Did someone take him out or did he walk out?

I guess I'm thinking ahead but I hope Defense doesn't try to say that Kyron fell down hill or a pedophile raped him and disposed of him.

I know everything points to the step-mom. And everyone's focus has been on her. Her behaviours can seem suspicious and everything may seem to correlate, but in focusing only on her have other possibilities been ruled out?

She took the baby to the doctors. Somewhere it said Kyron mentioned he had an appointment too? Is this correct? Did he misunderstand? Did he panic and leave the school to "get to the appointment". Walk out on the road, with poor visibility, get hit by a car? Driver thinks they hit a dog or cat or deer? I drove those roads every weekday for 3 years to several work locations over Forest Park. They are narrow, you could easily have poor visibility, Ive almost hit several dogs, deer, cats, bicyclists, etc. Not a lot of room for error. It wouldn't be hard to hit a small child, he's flung down the hill into the bushes and think it was a critter.

I ask because when I was 7, I did the exact same thing, I left school to go after my mom because I thought I was to go with her to a dentist after school instead of stay school for an hour before gymnastics started. I walked 4 miles away...just walking, like my mom will find me to take me to the dentists. It was the first time in my life I had anxiety...like what am I supposed to be doing? Small town, ended up at the dentists, for her appointment. Then she took me back for gymnastics. The reality is, he could have gone after her if he was confused about the doctor appointment. He could have been upset his mom and dad didn't go to his science fair and ran away.

Have we looked at another party taking him from the school? Have we looked at trends of children abducted from school settings over the years in that gender and age bracket? A science fair would be on social media and other places. Anyone could know just how chaotic those are a make an easy grab. I would just hate to see this situation turn out like Jacee Duggard or others like it where the step-parent was suspect and lived under a cloud of doubt for years.

I'm not saying she did or didn't plan this. But, the timelines are pretty tight and there is a lot of speculation. It also seems, looking at the article I posted above, she has been his primary caregiver for quite sometime. So it's not like suddenly she's dealing with a kid transplanted into her house with no knowledge of rules, routine, etc. And as a mom who had joint custody that was hit or miss on dads end, the frustration one has getting a kiddo back from the other parent after a few days is real. Its confusing for the child...different rules, different expectations, wanting to please both sets of parents, not wanting to hurt other parents, saying things like I want to be with you (mom or dad) so the parent doesn't feel bad. It takes days to adjust and its very hard on everyone. Whole routines are de-stablized, even bedtimes and dietary. Rules are different. Seriously, as a parent, dealing with my son coming back from dads on weekends where there were no rules, no bedtimes, junk food, toys, homework wasn't done, etc was frustrating as heck. Im sure my text history would reveal there were times I wanted to throttle dad and my son  But, thats just normal mom frustration.

Anyway, I'm newer to this case snd would love to hear feedback or more information. Thanks :loveyou:

Terri's friend DeDe S said that she was gardening the day Kyron disappeared. Was her yard checked?

DeDe was gardening at a work site that day. I assume investigators already searched the land there. I had thought earlier that DDS was involved because she had the gardening experience and tools that she could have buried a small body in a relatively short time. But now (see my post above) I'm beginning to think TH was the only one involved. IDK. I just hope this latest search will bring results.

Excellent thoughts, Lucy.

I particularly appreciate you're thoughts on someone hitting him on the road accidentally or otherwise.

Your perspective parallels mine and I do sometimes wonder if TH is just a giant red herring. Can argue about her until the end of days, but what if......

If he was hit, there would be plenty of signs of that.

See bold....then why did she plead the 5th 142 times?
