Terri doesn't have any sort of case pending and her personal feelings toward her stepson are her own business, not some intrusive stranger's. Good for them for ignoring this uninvited imposition.

Sorry, I thought that her soon to be x and herself had a case going, where she will not answer to anything or fight for her daughter.

Sure wish her criminal defense lawyer felt the same way and would not show up at all the divorce proceedings.

Or prevent her husband from getting the divorce he wants and needs.

In a missing child investigation the press is used to generate free publicity and put and keep the child's name and face in the forefront of people's minds. The press is the vehicle by which the police and family members communicate with citizens who may be of help, who may know something vital, to recruit the volunteers that thrash through the bushes and ditches in search of their loved one, to remind the public to keep their eyes open for clues or strange behavior. Imagine if Kaine and Desiree and LE sat stone faced and silent when approached by the press because their feelings are their own business and the press was too intrusive for them to want to speak to about Kyron. Very few of us would even know about him. He'd probably have 1/10th the number of volunteers snorkeling in muddy cold ponds in search of a flash of his clothing. People could walk by a CSI tshirt without thinking of him. People could blissfully not know, not care, not think about it. So sure... I guess it makes sense that Terri could look at that part of the investigation and publicity as an "uninvited imposition".
