Did they only show that clip in GA? I remember it clearly...it must exist.

I can't find it - but so many articles have been updated that it may have been there and now updated with something else. I don't know. :waitasec:

I don't know if you saw my earlier post, but is this the quote you're thinking of?
"LPD and Saint Landry Parish Sherriff Deputies are executing a search warrant of Brandon Scott Lavergne’s residence on the 100 block of Elaine Lane in the Swords area. Saint Landry Parish Sherriff Bobby Guidroz says they are there investigating a major crime. He would neither confirm nor deny that the operation was in connection with the Shunick case."

That link is not opening for me but it sounds like it could be what I am looking for. I was looking for a video, is this a video?

I can't remember hearing the exact words "major crime scene" from MSM but I searched previous threads here and found it first mentioned here by you, k.jill: [ame="http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=8128954&postcount=339"]Websleuths Crime Sleuthing Community - View Single Post - LA LA - ***ARREST*** Mickey Shunick, 21, Lafayette 19 May 2012 - #34[/ame]

I dunno... I spefically heard "We have a crime scene" then he went on to say no
proof MS was ever there....:dunno: but he was treating it like she was and CSI was gathereing evidence like she was...
my hinky meter went off
1. no proof she was there but VERY important to find some due to "other" evidence not revealed...
2. No evidence of MS per se... but a crime scene none the less...
which made me think audio/visual items???

I DO KNOW with the next case I am saving stuff that makes me go HUH????

I am sorry for the slash and burn job done to the Advertiser, AND the fact that it now costs $1.00 for a very thin paper, compared to 25 cents 10 years ago and a thicker one. The Advertiser is quickly becoming irrelevant to Lafayette. We are becoming a good-sized, growing, city without an effective newspaper. :-(
,

Maybe this is old news, but I just found out this week that the reason is because they're going to try to convert it to an entirely online publication. I was bummed to hear that, like you or someone else mentioned earlier - it's a long time tradition. I can't imagine it going away.

I think we are all going a little stir crazy waiting for the GJ to meet and indict (hopefully)...

They did have crime scene tape outside his trailer during the search. Maybe it was that combined with the "major crime investigation" comment. I remember at the time it happened, I originally thought someone said it was a major crime scene, but thinking back, I believe it was a discussion here where that first was mentioned. Possibly a mis-quote leading to the confusion?

Check out the link wasalurker just posted. He says "this is a major crime scene".
My feeling was that this man was upset about what he had seen and wanted to say more than he could.

I heard it! He definitely said "major crime scene". Thank you wasalurker! My apologies to anyone I made doubt their sanity for the last half hour! (Sorry.....hour and a half!)

Yes, he said "...it's a major crime scene..." and that they were looking for, amongst other things, bodily fluids or articles of clothing fitting certain descriptions (assumed to be those MS was wearing when she disappeaerd, although perhaps BSL was captured on TDA's surveillance in a shirt which they feel they can identify).

YES!!!!
Thank you so very much.
Now y'all watch that and tell me what you think.

Your very welcome. Drives me crazy when I can't find a link...LOL. But I do honestly think that it was a confusion of words. Major crime scene vs major crime and investigating a scene. I honestly don't know and we probably won't be able to know until trial or at least until some discovery is released. We are finding out more and more each day.

Thank you for looking.
The interview stood out to me because the man seemed to be holding back emotion to me.

I remember that video too because I remember the emotion.. it was Sheriff Guidroz that was being interviewed. Can't find that link.
