How many pieces of property does BSL own now or has owned in the past? It seems that he has property all over the area.

ugh this made me sick to my stomach: (bbm)

"Lavergne was also indicted on first degree murder charge for the death of 34 year old Lisa Pate. Pate was last seen in Lafayette in June of 1999, and according to today's indictment, is believed to have been killed on or around July 3, 1999. Her remains were found in Church Point, LA, in late September of that year. "

Ugh. So he might have kept her and done horrible things to her. :( I pray that the family gets answers and closure now after all these years.

How big were the pressure washers that were stolen?! Could one be in one of those bags?

No. Pressure washers are pretty big and heavy. Think of about the same size/weight as a self-propelled lawnmower (the bottom part). That is why to me it was always so strange that they stoled TWO. It is like stealing two self-propelled lawnmowers.....if you were going to mow -- you would not need two. And you could not carry a pressure-washer in a paper bag -- same thing as the lawn mower -- they are heavy and clumsy. Google a photo of one and you will see.

Is there a link that says that the building where Lisa was found was on the property of BL?

Maybe back in the day. Fairly common knowledge to those that were around back then.

So does anyone know what date in June she disappeared?

Thanks. I saw that, but I was hoping to find a direct link to the article, rather than a copy and paste. (Am I suspicious much?) But since it's all we have for now ( and since someone else on the google groups site copied and pasted it vertbatim), it'll have to do.
Like you, I prefer the source.
FWIW I have googled several complete phrases from the article and do not come up with any hits except here and at the site it was posted.
Usually I can find a link easily by doing that and in this case I cannot locate the original article.

Lisa was blonde. It is very strange that police did not pursue that further even though he was in jail. She was found ON his property.

The picture of Lisa on katc.com shows her with very dark hair.

How could LE know approximately when Lisa was killed, as opposed to when she was last seen, if she was not found until months later? That does not even make sense to me...?
Last seen in June, killed on or about July 3, found in October?? Can anyone make sense of this for me? Was there a newspaper with her remains?

Well, Brandon was charged with 1st degree murder for Mickey and her murder is listed as being May 19, the night she went missing.

So I guess they are assuming the day he murdered them was the same day he took them. He might have a pattern that they aren't telling us.

Personally, I think they might have just ruled Mickey out as being certainly deceased because they can't find her, and they know how Pate was murdered.

Good question and I wondered that myself!

Depends. Not if she fought. I think he prefers passive women he can control. I would think a woman with three kids would fight in the hopes she could get away.

I've read that Lisa Pate's body was found behind a house on Brigman Hwy in CP. Did BSL have a house there?

But if she disappeared in June and they are determining that he killed her in July based on some evidence, where was she from the time she disappeared until killed?

Her remains were sent to a crime lab at LSU. I can not find the link, but I think it stated that they were only able to identify her by dental records.

Thank you for asking that as I was thinking the same thing. From what little I have read it sounded like her skeletal remains were found - not a body. So if she disappeared in June how do they know she was killed in July?

But it says she was last seen in late June, yet presumed to be killed July 3...that is my question...

Also, I gather they were not able to determine a cause of death for Lisa, as LE said they presumed it was homicide based on how she was found.

Still wondering about the lapse between last seen and presumed date of death, if anyone has any revelations...

Go to wafb.com. It is the top story. I would have posted the link, but for some reason I couldn't.
